We are a family of four. We stayed here for one night during a trip around the Cabot Trail. We were in the cottage literally right beside the road. We slept extremely well. It was very quiet. Very little traffic. There was two separate bedrooms. Comfy beds. The kids had there own bedroom which was lovely. The fireplace was wonderful.... More

Before booking out cootage, I called and asked what cottages were avaliable/ if any were newer or updated. I was told that the cottage I was booking was a 2 bedroom with spa tub, fireplace and cable. Spa tub ? No. A single person couldn't even soak in that tub if they wanted to. It was the summer so we... More

Stayed here during a trip round the Cabot Trail. I did accomodations search on the net before we left Halifax. 2 nights in Cheticamp, 1 night in Dingwall, 2 nights in Ingonish. I was looking for places that allowed a dog, so the choices were limited. My first choice for the 2 nights in Ingonish was INGONISH CHALETS. They only... More

Do not stay at Knotty Pine Cottages! The cottage was dark and run down looking and very close to the road. There is a lovely view, but the window in the bedroom is the size of a postage stamp so you can't see it. There is deck on the back overlooking the lovely view, but you can't get to it... More

WARNING! do not take cottage 7! It is really the basement of cottage 1. Ground level at the back but still concrete outer walls. I have stayed in 1000 plus rooms in the past 10 years and this is absolutely the worst place I have ever stayed. Mildew in bathroom, dead flies in windows, sewer smell in bedrooms, damp linens,... Find someplace else Don’t stay here! We were in cabin 7, really just the basement of cabin 1. The floor/ceiling was so thin I thought the people upstairs were going to come through the ceiling. Between the dead flies and the mold on the bathroom ceiling to the old, worn out furniture I don’t know where to start. The windows... More

We were on bicycles so we ended up here because we were assured there was a convenience store, a nice restaurant close by and a duplex for the 3 of us. NOT! The "duplex" was a dump, tv didn't work, the WI-FI didn't work, they charged $10 to do 1 load of laundry on antique machines. The convenience store was... More

No wonder I had a hard time finding the reviews on Tripadvisor on this accommodation. The surrounding of the cottages was very nice. I saw the interior of 2 units, including the one we stayed in, was very nice and extremely clean. All the cottages are not new but do not look dated either. All the supplies for the full... More

I am a middle aged woman, who only requires clean and comfortable when I book an accommodation, and I have to say "this is the worst place I have ever stayed in". It was dingy and very uncomfortable. There wasn't even a chair to sit on. I felt dirty to the point of being afraid I would catch something. Do... More

With so many lovely options on the Cabot Trail, skip this one. The only good thing was the view. The cabin smelled like garbage, had mold in the bathroom and the ceiling looked damp. Had I done my research prior (by using Tripadvisor) I could have avoided this place. It wouldn't take much of an investment to fix this place... More
