This was the best experience of our 7 day trip, 2 nights at the Pilot Whale - - comfortable and clean room, friendly and welcoming hosts, delicious breakfast and helpful, local travel tips. Our stay was quiet and convenient. We will definitely return.

Stayed in cabin 8 through Hurricane Leslie, it was great! The cabin was delightful, it was spotless clean, well laid out and cheerfully decorated. It exceeded my expectations, would recommend to anyone. Only issue was some trouble with brown water from the storm, be sure to bring your own bottled water to drink. Quiet Area , well indicated Friendly people are handling this bed and breakfast easy to get a conversation going. Room no.4 comes along with a Jacuzzi There is a big living room downstairs with satellite tv Full breakfast , with choice of 4 home made jams really delicious

I recommend the Pilot Whale B&B in St. Joseph-Du-Moine for any stay near Cheticamp or Cape Breton Island Natl Park. Spotless rooms, accommodating hosts and excellent breakfasts are the norm. As usual, we were doing too much driving and too little vacationing so we only stayed one night but the room was large, well furnished and very quiet.

We stayed in room 4, which is the one with two beds and an ensuite with soaker tub. Even though it is a basement room there is lots of light.
