Robin's Nest gave us a comfortable place to stay. Her B&B was clean, but cluttered. Our room was small and had magazines that were decades old. Robin was accommodating but had too long of a to-do list. The gardens were over-grown but could a real addition to this property. The breakfast was fine and the coffee was a highlight. For... More

I'm so sorry to hear you had a disappointing stay. If you stayed recently, as I am guessing, you probably did find an unkept garden (that used to be my pride and joy) and a few things needed to be uncluttered, as I have had a stressful time with a mother on her death bed and a dad who needs... My husband and I stayed a night during our spring break while we were traveling to Myrtle Beach. This was the best experience! We were so pleasantly surprised by the large bedroom, bathroom, and sitting rooms. Breakfast was incredible, and Robin had every thing that we needed for snacks and drinks the night before, too. We would stay again in... More

We stayed there over the weekend of January 18, 2013. It was a wonderful experience. Robin directed us to a wonderful restaurant and cooked our choice for breakfast. (5 star breakfast.) The WIFI worked well. The house was built in 1914 and was in remarkably good shape. If you like birds, at one time there were 12 cardinals at the... More

Robin is friendly and wonderfully accommodating. The house is a quaint, 100 year old place with beautiful gardens and lots of charm. Her breakfast was generous and delicious. We had a relaxing, enjoyable weekend.

My wife and I have stayed here three separate times and loved every stay. My wife likes a clean place and Robin's Nest rooms are clean and nicely furnished. Robin provides night-time coffee and cookies for her guests and her full breakfasts are great, both in quality, taste, and quantity. Robin's room prices are lower than most other B&Bs. I... More

From the pan of incredibly warm and chewy peanut butter brownies that greeted us when we walked in to the wonderfully fresh linens and spotless rooms, this B&B was perfect. It's nestled in a cute Normal Rockwell-ish town and is exactly what you want in a B&B. The bed was comfortable, room sizeable and hospitality first rate. Breakfast was a... More

Lovely, B & B. Quiet and relaxing. Clean. Robin (owner) is helpful, professional and kind. Within walking distance of a wonderful restaraunt, Backwoods. Had a nice, relaxing kid-free weekend there in November 2011. Also, very good value for the price.

My wife and I were looking to get away for a few days while in Charlotte for business. I didn't want to do a great deal of driving, but didn't want to stay in the city either. We found Robin's Nest and booked a few nights. We landed late and after a short drive were checking in 15-20 minutes later.... More

We stayed at Robin's Nest when we were flying out from Charlotte airport, and we were so glad we opted to stay here rather than a generic airport hotel. It's close to the airport (about 15mins), but situated in a nice little town with a few interesting eateries, lovely ice cream shop, general store etc. The house itself is a... More

We were visiting relatives in Hickory and during our stay booked a night here to celebrate our 15th anniversary. Robin was so cheerful and informative. Her home was lovely, decorated tastefully, and completely relaxing. We booked the Blue Jay room and it was perfect in every way. Robin even took time to apprise us of the potentially dangerous tornado situation... More
