I have just completed another summer stay of six months at Raccoon Holler Campground. This is such a wonderful place to live every year! The grounds are beautiful, the owners Louis and Janet, and Helen the office manager are the big asset and make my life so easy and wonderful. Since I have two dogs I also appreciate how pet... More

I first stayed at Raccoon Holler as a Child back in the late 70's. It was one of my Favorites. As an adult, I have brought my kids there as it is one of the cleanest, mountain campgrounds in all of NC. Let me say it has changed a bunch...... It is overwhlemingly Seasonal campers who have taken all of... More

This is our favorite campground. We loved it so much the first year for weekend camping that we became seasonal campers the next year and every year after. There are sunny sites, shady sites "in the woods" and beautiful tent sites throughout. Located just off the Blue Ridge Parkway gives access to many activities and attractions and there is a... More

We began with pop-up camper and just happend to locate a camper on a seasonal site for sale. We were really fortunate to be able to sell our small camper and purchase the... More

This is a beautiful campground but not tent friendly. Our original site was all gravel but they did let us move. Bathhouse was not very nice and they did not see that the visitors followed rules. Dog poopy not cleaned up, disorderly drunk visitors, golf carts running around too fast too late and tooo early. If you stay in a... More

Beautiful campground, but the sites are NOT level as the advertising states. This campground strictly caters to the seasonal campers. Also beware, there are hidden charges (i.e., for using your a/c).

Park states pets allowed, what they do not mention is pets are not tolerated by the mostly seasonal site campers, great campground if you have no pets. NOT PET FRIENDLY..... Owner is nice, his wife likes dogs but you'll be run out by the seasonal people if you have a dog. We paid for a Month left after two weeks.... More
