i arrived about 8PM and had to wait a few minutes for the desk clerk to show up. This Hampton has been remodeled. They have a built in desk with the closet area. I liked the set up. This one does have frige and micro. Not a whole lot to say. It was one night and it was fine.

Check in was very quick. This hotel was clean. The breakfast was okay. You get a discount at Texas Roadhouse just across the parking lot. Convenient location, just off the highway. Also convenient if you are visiting Gaston College.

Hampton Inn has a consistency of quality that you can rely on and this hotel maintained that level of excellence. Every time I stay at this property, the wonderful staff impresses me. The hotel is far enough away from the interstate that road noise isn't a problem. Another really nice thing is that you can walk to the Texas Roadhouse restaurant which is directly next door.

We had 3 days to get a wedding done in the area and we did not have to take any of our time with hotel or personnel issues. They did an excellent job and I did not have to interact with the staff about any problems. Which to me is the best any service provider can do.

This hotel is an excellent choice for Gastonia or just passing through. It"s convenient to the road to hickory (for furniture shopping) and close to Charlotte.
