This trip was so much fun. Where else in the world can you watch a troop of howler monkeys while lying in bed or have a tarantula for a roommate. The food and service were excellent. The guides were very knowledgable and willing to really go the extra mile to make the trip wonderful.

We had a great couple of days at Posada Amazonas in April.  We opted for the two night package which, in our view, was the right amount of time.  We flew into Aguas Calientes on Star Peru (as an FYI, a much cheaper alternative to LAN and TACA) and someone was there to pick us up.  We then proceeded to... Created as a partnership venture between the private Rainforest Expeditions and the local indigenous community of Infierno, the Posada Amazonas lodge has proven very successful. The local community takes in 60% of profits. The guides and staff of the lodge are all local people so it provides employment for them. Those staff and guides are all friendly and very knowledgeable... More

Staying in the Amazon is an experience. The rooms at the lodge are large as are the beds. Mosquito nets are well organised but as it was the dry season there were few bugs around. This is not designed to be luxury, this is an experience. There is no electricity in the rooms, just candles and lamps, so the rooms... More

All the staff members made us feel welcome and looked after us, but it was our guide Silverio who made all the difference - he introduced us to another world, close to nature. The trips and excursions were many and varied, and were really quite easy to accomplish for someone like me in my 50s who likes walking but is... More

I had an absolute blast at Posadas. Let me get the basic part out first. Food was great. The rooms are very comfortable. There isn't really any way to describe laying in a hammock in the middle of the Amazon. The staff is incredibly friendly and the trails are well maintained. But really it comes down to the wildlife and... More

This excursion was one of the high points of our trip in Peru. From the very first experience with this Tour Company every staff member we had contact with was fantastic. Every team member seemed to go above and beyond to assure our enjoyment. The outings were really enjoyable with our knowledgeable guides assisting and informing us. We were all... More

Posada Amazonas provides an experience that is almost impossible to describe. From the moment I arrived until the very last day when we were re-boarding the plane back to Lima, I felt like I was the luckiest girl in the world because of the wonderful adventure I was participating in. The staff at Posada Amazonas is incredibly helpful, friendly, and... More

This is a great little amazon get away. Where the rooms are all open to the elements so you can really get close to the nature and the staff are all friendly and helpful. Plus the guides have such a good all round knowledge of the animals and the local area. In addition to this the food was some of... More

From the airport pickup to the end, when they returned us to PEM, our experience with Posada Amazonas was fabulous. Everything they said beforehand and the way the information is on their website is exactly how it turned out to be. The accommodation is an eco lodge - beautiful, comfortable beds with mosquito nets will prevent the bugs. However, one... More
