we were only able to stay here two nights before heading home. great place to watch the african sunset. location was easy to get to and within walking distance to a number of local stops. Definitely would recommend this place to anyone looking for a nice place to stay in stone town.

I have been to my fair share of hotels around the world but Serena Zanzibar stands out as my most memorable holiday experience! From the moment I stepped in to the time I left, I was treated really well. The architecture is very Swahili and transports to a different world, literally!

When visiting Stone Town, went to The Serena Hotel to have some tea. I just loved it, the hotel looks great. A great pool with beach view. The tea salon was great with a suvenir shop. Everything very clean and tha staff was great.

I was very disappointed by this hotel, but especially its services. We ordered ice-cream (2 cups for 10000$) and received a milk-shake ie totally melted ice-cream, no reason, no apology, and please don't complain!
