Another charming stay, thanks to Abercrombie & Kent Safari's. We loved our brief stay here. Our spacious accommodation was another delightful surprise. It was beautifully appointed with indoor and outdoor showers. The bed was very comfortable. View was beautiful. No complaints on the food. We thought it was excellent. Service was also very satisfactory.

For the price we paid, we felt we received the most incredible experience at this lodge. Firstly, each guest is in a private lodge, which was lovely for us, traveling as a couple. The room came with a fantastic roll top bath, outdoor shower, four poster bed and every tasteful furnishing. This is all topped by the windows on every... More

We stayed at the Escarpment Luxury Lodge in early April as part of our safari and found it to be beautiful and tranquil. The service was polite and never intrusive, the rooms beautifully and tastefully appointed and the environment lush, romantic and with a real sense of being away from it all. Ezikial our 'butler' was beyond compare with his... More

On this extremely hot day we truly enjoyed the refreshing swim in this lodge's spactacular pool. Another wonderful idea is the outdoor shower. We were however simpy put off by the extravagant luxury of the lodege, which you reach over the usual dirt track, but one leading through outskirts of a village that appear more slummy than others we have... This is an amazing architecturally and the site is wonderful , overlooking Lake Maynara and the Rift Valley. The chalets are huge but the attention to detail is missed...lovely wooden doors opening on all sides to a lovely deck but there are no screens and many mosquitoes and some wildlife. We were assigned a butler ( this a bit pretentious... More

We, too, had stayed only in tent camps, which we loved, but this was an interesting change and an impeccable example of African hospitality. The road through a typical village yields a surprise at the end as the stick and mud houses give way to this deluxe property with a spectacular view of the Rift Valley and Lake Manyara. Our... More

We were suppose to stay at the Serena so when they said our accomadations had changed I was a little leary. OMG when we got there and saw the lobby...the had our breifing about the lodge by Edwin ...and were introduced to our butler AGATHE....we couldn't beleive our good fortune. When they took us tour room with the 300degree wrap... More

The view & quality of rooms are exceptional, but more contemporary African design than traditional safari lodges so not everyone's taste in our group. The service was poor even taking into account 'Africa time'. This was particularly an issue when breakfast takes over an hour and we wanted to start our game drive.

Excellent service, meals, privacy in brand new luxury facility. Wood floors are freshly waxed-be careful walking on them they are so freshly waxed! The pool provides a nice view of the lake. Dining on the deck provides similar views.

We visited Escarpment as part of a safari tour. It was by far the best place we stayed in the entire safari. Lodge opened less than 2 years ago, everything is brand new. The room was spotless clean (I am a clean freak), the service was fantastic, food was exquisite. The waiter picked up on our preferences immediately (example, after... More
