First lets remember this is Montauk, a beach community you will not get 5 star accommodations anywhere in Montauk. That being said, the Albatross is a perfectly fine place to stay in Montauk. The owners are very nice and always accommodating. We usually stay in an efficiency because we like the privacy of not being in the courtyard. Yes, the... More

It's a family-run motel (with a little extra help in the summers). The rooms are dark with decor that might remind you of a CSI episode (we kept joking that we forgot to pack the speed). But it was clean and comfortable enough and right near the beach-- and who hangs out in their motel room on it's beach weekend... More

The panoramic view of the ocean with a motel in the background that is pictured on their website is NOT this motel. There is NO ocean view from any unit or building of this facility. My husband and I spent 3 nights there and were extremely disappointed with the view from our deck, which was an ugly parking lot. The... More

I have been coming to Daunt's for the past 25 years, but I think I am finished. There have been few updates in all these years. Came out with my daughter recently for a much needed (and not easy to afford) vacation for 4 days. Everything was just so old. I was willing to just deal with that given I... More

My boyfriend and I stayed at Duant's for Memorial day weekend along with two of our friends. They stay on the East side and we stayed on the West. The east is far more updated then the west as far as inside and outside the room and the East didn't have any of the problems listed below besides nasty service!... More

This is a great little motel very close to the beach and within walking distance of several restaurants and bars. The prices are very good compared to similar hotels in the vicinity. It was a bit noisy at night - we could hear some partying from a bar nearby. Our room was small and pretty outdated but charming none-the less... More

Do yourself a favor and skip this one.We stayed at the east section of this motel. It's old, it smells like mildew and have really really thin walls! Beds are hard and altogether uncomfortable. The only thing that is going for it is the location. We checked out Sole east beach close by and will be staying there next time! More

Showed up with wife and two kids and they told me I reserved a one bed room when we specifically asked for an efficiency room. Place scammed us to get us out here then told me I am stuck with this reservation. A room with one bed the size of my kids room. People could care less and said it... More

My boyfriend and i decided to do a quick Friday to Sunday Montauk getaway in the dead of winter. We loved the 70s aesthetic of the Montauk East and were fine with the funky old mattress and kitschy decor. The first night was terrible because for some reason, even though the motel was fairly quiet, they put us in a... More
