I first found the guest house in an online search about 5 years ago. We are heading back again tomorrow for our 4th visit. We've stayed in 3 of the 5 cottages on the property and every one is great. It's in a very small town, but easy to get to. Its very quiet and peaceful. Andrea and Shaun are... More

Cottage we stayed in was named "Brittania." It is chock-a-block full of tacky items. Cobwebs and dust covered most surfaces. The tennis court next to the cottage is overrun with weeds. The "breakfast" included 6 eggs, Thomas-brand English muffins, some cereal, a pint of orange juice (Tropicana), jams and butter that you would get at an IHOP, and mediocre fruit.... More

It always saddens me when guests are unhappy. In this case, I allowed the Britannia guests to stay 1 night only, in stead of 2, which is against our policy. Their 2 dogs were so sweet, that I did not charge them on their bill. These guests wanted 2 massages, which I arranged. They assured me they would pay the... More

We had never been to the Catskills before and wanted to stay somewhere where we could bring our dogs. When I called to make a reservation, Andrea was welcoming and delighted to know that we wanted to bring our "girls." That gave us a good feeling right away. Andrea loved our dogs, and they loved her in turn. She made... More

This was my husband and my first visit to the Catskills and to The Guest House. I have to say we were a little apprehensive as I'm a city dweller who can be a bit of a hotel snob. I am happy to say that any fear was completely unwarranted. Upon arrival, Andrea invited us in for a cocktail and... More

This is a great vacation place for couples and families. It is a great place to relax and spend time with your spouse or family. Another plus is that it is pet friendly. The host is Andrea, and she is extremely accommodating and will go out of her way to insure that your stay is enjoyable. We checked out several... More

Although I am sorry to say it poured rain the entire time we were in the Catskills, The Guest House was a great place to stay and most importantly they allowed our dogs to stay with us. We stayed in China, the cabins are each themed. It was a nice size room with a king sized bed. It is not... More

We were looking to push the fly fishing season a bit, and enjoy the outdoors. Turns out we were pushing the season too much even for a warm March but The Guest House and our host Andrea provided a charming escape on a lovely property. Very sweet accommodations, especially for the Catskills. The Willowemoc River access is private, right out... More

We (wife , Small Kid, my german sheperd and me) stayed at a cottage called Africa. We wanted to take a break from our work and just relax , and this was a perfect place for that. The place is extermely comfortable and self sufficient, our cottage Africa created a look and feel about Africa and was quite clean and... More

Shabby, well past its prime if it ever had one. Bedspread, rug, furnture: ancient, unfresh, unattractive, room uncomfortable, not clean (eg. advertised "fireplace" is fake and covered with dust). Shower fittings held together with string, med. chest contains scuzzy used toothpaste and other previously used items. Set up as self-catering but the kitchenette is gross: we needed to wash grease... More
