Is this the same T-bird Lodge that everyone else rated in Ruidoso, NM? The very friendly owners are heavy smokers. The home-office stinks of cigarettes. I must say that I have stayed at many places in Ruidoso New Mexico and The Thunderbird Lodge has them all beat. First and foremost are the owners Richard and Becky. These two make you feel at home and a wanted guest. They are "hands on owners" and their pride and attention to detail are obvious at this wonderful lodge.... More

The kids really enjoyed this place. Everything worked, the owners were very hospitable, the dishes were clean, very nice.

We stayed here based on the wonderful reviews and we were not dissapointed. Yet another traveler who loves this place. I stayed here for one night totally based on the tripadvisor reviews and I was NOT disappointed. Clean, affordable, comfortable and downright charming. Stay here stay here stay here!

The owners are very nice. Quaint little apartment type property. This was perfect for our mountain getaway/ski weekend trip. The propane grill available for guest use was very convenient. The firewood provided only added to the experience. I highly recommend Thunderbird Lodge.
