OK, so "guest ranch" is a stretch BUT the renovated rooms in the little hotel building were very clean and convenient to the cafe and gas station. We only stayed one night passing thru but it would be a good location as a jumping off point for touring around. Loved the relaxed hometown cafe. The food was very good and... More

After arriving home from a trip through parts of the 10 western states and reflecting on places we'd seen and experinced, the Eagle Guest Ranch rankerd right at the top for good food, drinks that were never poured short and hospitable folks looking after us. Not an awful lot of plastic furniture, and artificial decorations to detract you from the... More

My brother and I needed a place to stay so we could hike nearby Horse Mountain. We really liked this simple place. The room was small and had two beds, which were fine. The floors were tiled instead of carpeted, so they were nice and clean. We ate the best steak at the cafe attached to the motel and gas... More

Over the past 6 years, I have visited this place and stayed in the motel, one time leaving in the middle of the night due to August temps and no air conditioning or screens on the windows and a terrible dead smell of something rotting. My most recent visit was quite the opposite. The rooms have been totally renovated and... More

Our stay at Eagle Guest Ranch was nothing short of great. The owners went out of their way to make sure of that. We stayed ,3 of us for almost a week, enjoying some of the best rib-eyes and T - bones you could sink your teeth into. We were on an elk hunt although we went home empty handed... More

The rooms were very nice and clean. The manager made us feel very welcomed and he made every effort possible to make us comfortable. We enjoyed our stay there.

We stayed at EGR while on a climbing trip to Enchanted Tower this April/May (2011). We had stayed there once before 2 years earlier when the place was apparently under different ownership. At that time the rooms were dirty, and in 4 days they never emptied the garbage or made the beds. Also although we were told that the restaurant... More

was booked for eight nights, left after three, the nasty attitude of the owners drove us out of there. We found a much nicer place in Magdelena. It was pain having to drive back and forth to Datil everyday but the people were so much nicer. We couldn't even get a decently toasted english muffin, and they wanted to charge... More

My friends and i did not actually stay in the hotel, however, we had ourselves one of the best meals I'm sure any of us had ever eaten. We were traveling from Phoenix, AZ to Albuquerque, NM and stopped here on the way. At first it didn't look like to much was to be expected about this quaint mountain restaurant... More

on our way through nm we stopped at the eagle guest ranch (under new mang. from what I understand). They didn't seem too busy so we thought we could get in and out quick. the waitress and the cook stood outside smokeing a cigarette till they noticed they had costumers. once our order was taken it took some time before...
