We stayed here because as others have said, there are no other mid-range options in Berastagi. The hotel was 450000 rph and was not worth half of that in my opinion. The gardens were beautiful but the cottage was old, stained, dark, smelly, and dingy. We did not use the shower, but the faucets were falling off and there were... More

There are not a lot of mid-range hotels in Berastagi; most options are either budget guesthouses or high-end hotels. Brastagi Cottage was one of the few mid-range options, which is why we ended up here. However, in the end we found the place not worth the money and decided to move to another guesthouse after just one night. At first... More

We ended up at Berastagi Cottages after backing out of a much cheaper (and dirtier) room that was right in town. Berastagi Cottages was much cleaner, but it was a bit of a jump up in price, though we managed to negotiate a discount since it was low season. Also, since it was low season, we were the only guests... More

Stayed here two nights and really enjoyed it! The whole place is a garden with beautiful flowers and trees. It felt like getting to stay in a nice city park - but have it all to ourselves. The room was clean and big and the service was excellent! Breakfast included in the price was good.

Berastagi cottages locates near the cabbage monument at the main road. They offer many type of room, for the cheapest room are like own bungalow with shared bathroom outside, but you need to pay for hot shower. The location to the markets and gundaling hill is near, almost all attractions can reach by walk. If you want to go back... More

The exterior is stunning – gorgeous grounds and well kept lawns with a playground for kids. The cottage is pretty and when you open the door into the front sitting area, you think it’s going to be a great place to stay. Then you get to the bedroom with an old and threadbare carpet and a tiny TV with about... More

This would have been fine in the 60s -- basic units sets in a lovely garden. Not to say ut;s that old necessarily, but tha is the style of place. Clean and functional. Friendly staff and guests -- this is a holiday location after all,

The interiour of the Karo-style bungalows may not be very special, but the exterior is. One of the most beautiful gardens you will ever see. The altitude (1300mtr) cools down the tropical heat (you may need an extra blanket). The hotel is very quiet on weekdays. In the weekend more visitors escaping the cities (Medan). Complex is large enough to... More
