“Our retreat from a British Winter !”

The King's place is great! We stayed in the Valley house and all was perfect. There is so much space in all the rooms, the living area and the kitchen. And it gets even better outside; the gardens and pool are fantastic. We would def recommend staying at The King's Place if you are looking for accomodation in Houtbay.

“Ideal for a big group”

We weren't an easy group - 10 teenagers and 3 grown-ups. We stayed in Cape Town for the South African Junior Chess Championships. The house is spacious and beautifully decorated. Excellent accommodation. Attention was given to our needs. I will recommend it any time.

“Great base for exploring Cape Town”

We stayed in the Pool room which was very fresh and nicely furnished. The owner was very friendly as were the staff, we felt very safe. Highly recommended if you plan to explore Cape Town and want to avoid staying in the city centre.

We were attending a wedding in Houtbay and were looking for a place that could accommodate more than 15 people. King’s Place was ideal for this. Everyone in our group was pleasantly surprised with the excellent accommodation and facilities. I will recommend it any time to family and friends.

My husband, three children and I were all excited to stay at the King's place as we had read so many great reviews. We made reservations 4 months in advance for the busy holiday season of Easter. We received an email a week later saying they had changed their minds and realized they didn't want to split up the weekend.... More

As we said before, we are really sorry for the inconvenience! However, your review is slightly ambiguous and gives the feeling that you had booked your accommodation 4 months before we came back to you with our problem when in fact it was 5 days after your initial email. I do feel the need to put the story into perspective.... More
