We have stayed at the Ashburn House several times in recent years as our daughter studied at Keene State College. They hosted our family the weekend of her graduation just a week ago and we felt like we were visiting with dear friends. Their breakfasts are always special and delicious. We will definitely visit again with these lovely innkeepers. Thank... More

The couple running this place were extremely dear and had impeccable timing, anticipating our needs at just the right moment, then disappearing when we were ready for privacy. The accommodations were fitting the era of the home and, at the same time, very comfortable. The breakfast was delicious. We will definitely return next time we are near NH.

Stayed here for one night in August in the blue room. The room was beautiful and the decor matched the theme of the whole house. The owners are just the nicest people, made us feel warm and welcome. We spent the day checking out the local antique shops and then dinner at Kimball Farms in a town nearby. At night... More

The hosts were very friendly and helpful. The Blue Room was clean, comfortable, cozy and quiet. Breakfast was delicious. Delicious, warm ginger cookies greeted us when we got there. Off the beaten path in pretty Fitzwilliam. Don't miss this gem!

Simple B&B very nice accommodations , the proprietress was so nice and nothing was too much trouble, from making us dinner reservations, she had menus and many options for local restaurants , to offering me wine and a cheese plate... All for just over $100 per night. A great deal

This is a fantastic place to stay the country hospitality was great. The price to stay reasonable, room was comfortable with plenty of lighting. The white claw tub /shower brought back great memories. The breakfast was filling and enjoyable... The setting is peaceful with breakfast on the back porch watching the birds and wild life was nice. In the busy... More

I'm sure the Ashburn House is as lovely as all the other reviews have given it but unfortunately we had a very bad experience trying to book a room. I e-mailed for availability and received an e-mail back (from Ken) quoting us a price of $100 for the Blue room which had air conditioning. I accepted that room (by e-mail)... More

We are sorry that the guest experienced distress with the booking process. The original booked room requires a two night stay on weekends during the summer and fall.We not only honored the quoted discounted rate for a one night stay in a different room, but allowed the guest to cancel at the last minute with no charge, acknowledging that the... Stumbled upon this B&B through the chamber of commerce website. We have spent a fair amount of time in the Fitzwilliam, Peterborough area, a quick and easy drive from Boston, and had never heard of this delightful, warm and cozy B&B. It has three wonderful rooms all individually decorated with a country and comfortable feel. The room was spacious and... More

We have stayed in several B&Bs in the USA, most have been good, but this is by far the best. Carole and Ken were the perfect hosts and produced the best breakfast we have had in any B&B regardless of country. Fitzwilliam was a charming, quintissential New England village, and Ashburn House is a perfect fit. It is beautifully restored,... More

The B&B is in the house dating back to the early 1800s: it is fantastic, well preserved and maintained and nicely decorated – it is a true treasure. Our room was large and airy with all modern amenities, including a free Wi-Fi. The home-cooked breakfast was a simply fantastic. The hosts were charming, attentive but discreet. It was a remarkably... More
