My wife and I stayed here at the end of January for a ski and Birthday weekend. I had asked Mary Jo if it was possible for her to have a special Birthday cake in the room when we arrived to surprise my wife. When we got there, Mary Jo pulled me aside and said that the baker could not... More

We greatly enjoyed our two days at Colonel Spencer Inn, its an attractive looking building with relaxed and friendly hosts. We usually motel and this was our first ever B and B in the US, we were charmed with it. The bedrooms were pleasant and comfy with classic furnishings and quilts. There was a big room downstairs for guests with... More

We just spent three of the most laid back relaxing days imaginable. MaryJo and Scott are most gracious hosts. Fresh muffins, omelets. Peak colors in a perfect setting. Great location, easy to find and made for a perfect vacation.

Overall, I recommend this inn if for the price; it is more affordable than other lodging in a similar or higher class. The rooms are impeccably clean and the beds are cozy and have nice bedding. We were very appreciative that they allow dogs, which is not very common. When we arrived, there was a waiver form with a list... More

I was in the area to attend a concert in Plymouth and found the Colonel Spencer while looking for nearby lodging. More competetively priced than any other B&B or motel. Spotlessly clean, comfy bed and welcoming hosts. Breakfast was delicious, also. Beautiful area, also. Felt right at home.

What can I say, the food is absolutely wonderful! Campton Inn is a small cozy place which is a good jumping off point of anything you would care to do in that region whether that is ex: enjoying the Boogie & Mountain Blues Festival in August or maybe attending one of the many offerings that are in Plymouth NH.

Pleasant location, charming inn keeper, plenty of hot water, and a good firm four poster bed to sleep on. What more could I ask.

We stayed at the Colonel Spencer for one night and had a very pleasant experience. Our room was simple & clean. The plumbing seemed a bit old, but it was fine. There was no tv in the room but there was tv in the living room downstairs. The breakfast was lovely - cheese omelette with fresh herbs. The hosts were... More

Every summer we usually pitch a tent in a campground when we travel to this beautiful part of the world. This year, however, due to my wife's aversion to damp, flat air matresses and the undesirable waft of public camp toilets, we found ourselves in Colonel's Spencer Inn. It wasn't just the contrast to camping that made our stay so... More
