The key to going to the Rio is realizing that you are not staying at Caesars Palace, Wynn, or Bellagio. If you want a 5 star hotel like that, pay the 5 star prices. It is off the strip, but this is literally a non-issue because of the shuttle. My girlfriend and I stayed here for 4 nights and could... More

For Vegas it's hard to find a better value than Rio! All the rooms are suites and great rates. The fitness facility had great equipment. The pool is a great place to relax. And they have the best Burger King! It's the Whopper Bar! Order a made to order Whopper and get a beer with the value meal! It's a... More

Housekeeping is horrible. The three nights that we stayed here our room was done after 4pm. One time we had to call housekeeping and were told "they have until 5 pm to clean all rooms". Food at the various restaurants are mediocre at best and over priced. World Carnival buffet is about $25.00 for lunch and $35.00 for dinner. Even... More

There are very few pros & quite a few cons to worry about, the check in was the first con as they tried to charge us an extra $20. plus tax for being an hour & a half early. So we checked are bags at the bell desk and went to the strip for a couple of hours. The next... More

I recently attended a two day conference at the Palms. The hotel was booked so I stayed "across the street" at Rio. The room was huge and the king size bed very comfortable, but there were a couple little things that really bugged me. The carpet is worn, showing seamlines and patches, the couch had stains on it and even... More

After reading several negative reviews I felt compelled to share my recent experience at the Rio. My wife, monther-in-law and I had adjoing rooms (1102 & 1104) in the Ipanema Tower. The rooms were excellent and the beds very comfortable. Only downside to the sleeping was the pillows were extra fat and not what we are used to. Still, a... More

Hotel was nice, rooms were quiet, bed was soft, large in capacity, front desk people extremely nice. The buffet at this hotel is unbelievably the best, the seafood one, its open 24 hours, and it had all you can eat crab legs (king size), lobster tails, and jumbo shrimps, all for about $50, but I had a Total Rewards card... Here for 2 weeks, and if it weren't for Comps, we'd probably go to another hotel and spend our money. Check in took an hour. After we had a Casino Host make our reservation, with a few days Comped. at check in, they had to see if it had changed, and had to check with a Supervisor. After getting to... More

We stayed 3 nights at the Rio as I got 1 night comped with my players card and we had friends coming to Vegas as well. We were on the 12th floor with a view of the strip which was nice. It's been many years since we've stayed here and it needs some attention escpecially in the rooms. The furniture... More

Its just another casino that we need to cover as a part of our trip. There is nothing to be remember in with this casino. Inspite of having so close competition with other casino in Vegas, Rio is just struggling to mark its presence. The main drawback is its location. It is located just outskirts of the main strip of...
