We recently spent a night at the Cheshire and couldn't have been more pleased. The staff was exceptional!!!! Our room was the exceptionally clean, and we have stayed in hotels all over the world. I don't think we have slept in a more comfortable bed. The hotel was conveniently located to everything. Thank you so much for a wonderful stay.... More

My husband and I stayed at The Cheshire last weekend and had the most comfortable sleeping experience! The bed, pillows, and blankets created such a relaxing environment. After returning home we realized that our bed was not even half as comfortable, so we are now in the market for a Serta mattress like the one we slept in at The... More

Thanks for the nice comment about our beds...They are the Presidential Line. The Serta double euro-top beds. Not too sure if they are available for retail, and/or if they are only sold to luxury hotels. Kind regards, Harry Lunt, GM. More

Didn't know what to expect, requested 4 star hotel on Priceline and got The Cheshire. The friendliest staff at front desk and in pub, food was wonderful in pub, rooms very clean, bed was wonderful, public areas cozy, large fireplace with plenty of seating, quaint antiques and modern furnishings, free wifi and parking. Great continental breakfast, appetizing appearance, not the... More

We work very closely with Priceline, and always try to take care of our guests no matter how or where they book. Keep in mind that often by calling the front desk, we may be able to offer you the same if not a better value. Thanks for pointing out the friendly team up front. They do a great job!... More

The Cheshire was just renovated and it's awesome. Quaint and cozy, perfect for our weekend escape from ordinary life! The special theme rooms are totally an experience not to be missed. The Fox and Hounds bar is fun and intimate! Breakfast in front of the massive wood burning fireplace with a cup of tea shining through the stained glass is... More

We went to St. Louis for the weekend & stayed 1 night. We absolutely loved it for the most part. The rooms are all named after famous English writers. The furnishings are a nice mix of old English & modern decor. There is a big fireplace with lots of seating in the lobby area with tables where people are found... More

Thanks for all the great comments... We love the neighborhood with the great restaurants (Kaldis, Sasha's, Jimmy's) located in DeMun. We are very pet friendly, and I apologize if there was confusion regarding your pet amenities. Thanks for pointing this out. I will have a refresher course with all the team members, so our royal pouches will have a memorable... More

Being from St. Louis, I remember the Cheshire as THE place to go for dinner on prom night in the 60's. Now that I am in MY 60's, I took my sister there for a one night getaway. The rooms are fantastic and the service was the best. Just as the fire in the fireplace was dying down, they would... More

The hotel has recently been renovated and they have done a very nice job. It maintains it quaint, quirky charm. Wife and I stayed here on our honeymoon 20 years ago and returned as a surprise for her. She was very pleased with the way the hotel looks. There are a few misses or quirks as others have mentioned. The... More

Thanks for your feedback, we are looking into putting "sound machines" in the Clayton road side rooms, for those who are sensitive to the ambient traffic sounds. For those who follow the reviews, everyone should know that we have one to two teams (per day) adjusting the airflow. The hotel is "bones" of the hotel are nearly 50 years old,... More

...but I can't. Simply because I care about customer service. This hotel has such high potential. They did a great job renovating the hotel while keeping that "Olde English" charm. The restaurant is good, but extremely crowded and understaffed. Upstairs, every suite is named after a famous book/writer, and the suites are spacious. My only complaint about the rooms themselves... My husband and I spent a weekend here. We live in St Louis and have been hearing about the big Renovation so we decided to have a little staycation. We were not disappointed one bit. We stayed in the Treasure Island suite. We enjoyed the fireplace and the large whirl pool tub. There was attention to every detail in the... More

We stayed at The Cheshire on January 6, 2012. The hotel is beautiful. From the smell of the wood fireplace when you walk in to the amazing Old English decorations, including chairs, artwork, pillows and on and on. It is a tastefully decorated boutique hotel. After quickly checking in and heading up to our room we learned that each room... More
