Mrs Curries is an interesting historic house. We had a nice room and it was sunny while were there so we were able to take advantage of the nice garden. Nice breakfast useful to have residents kitchen with a fridge and coffee and lots of different teas. TV lounge with port and sherry if needed. Richmond is an interesting "village"... More

Don't expect minimalist decor or state of the art amenities - that's not what this fabulous piece of living history is about. We stayed in the 1825 part of the house with its low doorways and furnishings befitting of the era - bathroom certainly adequate. Spotlessly clean, comfortable bed, superb breakfast, room quiet and dark for sleeping. Unlike lots of... More

This house has so much history & if only the walls could talk! The owners have captured the charm of the property beautifully without loosing out on comfort so don't expect modern decor and rightly so as this just would be out of context. That said the decor is certainly not old but done in a style that fits. We... More

2 unforgetable nights stay in a quality colonial house in lovely Richmond. We had not pre booked but were lucky to have the chance to sample this lovely b & b. Port and sherry in the evening, a selection of games and television if you really need it ! Lovely lounge to sit in or the use of a kitchen... More

We stayed here some time before and it had a hardly changed despite different owners from the previous visit. This time we stayed in the Swan Room in the 1820s part of the B&B. The room and bed were excellent and comfortable with a spacious en-suite. The sitting room was very pleasant with complimentary sherry and port and a roaring... More

Sadly, we only stayed one night here. Mrs Currie's B&B is a lovely old house just off the main street of Richmond. It is beautifully furnished and has a garden which looked splendid in Autumn. We were made very welcome, served a great breakfast, and enjoyed nice touches like complimentary sherry/port. Lovely on a chilly evening.

We stayed here our first night in Richmond and unfortunately they were booked out for our second night. It was a wonderful start to our visit, beautifully clean and tastefully decorated. The breakfast was excellent and there was lots of lovely touches like the complementary sherry. We will definately stay here again, it was a highlight. This B and B... More

This is a beautiful piece of 1800's building. It was originally a hotel and is still registered as a hotel. We had the rose room with its canopy bed and lovely little en suite. Whilst there is no TV in the lounge room in which to share with the other guests. The cricket was on so I was lucky that... More

We had the pleasure of staying at Mrs Curries house on the 15th and 16th February 2012 and had a fantastic time. Patrick was very helpful and gave us the history of the house and the breakfasts were very good and really set you up for the day. There is also a downstairs kitchen with a guests fridge and extensive... More

Having stayed at this B&B a long time ago I was pleased that it had changed so little, the welcome was warm and the service impeccable. The gardens are beautiful and it is a joy to be able to walk into the fabulous atmosphere of Richmond . My only comments would be that the bathroom was a bit cramped and... More
