What a perfect little hacienda in a perfect little town with perfect hosts! Michael and Dave are the very best at ensuring a memorable and carefree stay! My third time stay and managed yet again to discover new sights, new restaurants and adventures!

We have come to Xocotla 5 times over a period of 8 years and it now feels like coming home. David and Michael continue to be the most welcoming, gracious, humourous, informative hosts you could ever wish for. Their genuine love of Sayulita, the Mexican people and their culture is infectious. The more we visit, the more we learn, which makes... More

I can't find one thing wrong with our stay in Sayulita. We decided to spend 4 nights there after a day trip last year. We took the local bus from Puerto Vallarta and when we walked to the town square I realized I had left the very careful directions that were sent to us at home. After a few minutes... More

David and Michael have created an amazing sanctuary inside the busy puebla of Sayulita. Simple, tasteful, every amenity within each apartment selected for your ease and pleasure. And the gardens are amazing. We spent an entire afternoon watching the iguanas in the huge trees just beyond our balcony. Safe, clean, quiet and restful, than you so much for creating this... More

Owners David and Michael go to great lengths to provide everything you will need for a very enjoyable, hassle free stay in their impeccable condos. Located just up the hill and a 5 minute walk to town and the Pacific, you are close to everything and yet far enough away from the late night diners enjoying themselves. The rooms are... More

We loved Xocotla. We spent a week in Amixtli. Beautifully decorated, fully functional and very comfortable. Little details like beach towels, beach blankets, sun umbrellas were appreciated. We mentioned we should have brought a little cooler and the next thing you know, one appears! David and Michael are so wonderful. Present enough to answer any and all questions. Really enjoyed... We had a fantastic time at Xocotla. As others have mentioned, the property is well designed to provide privacy to all the guests. The setting is beautiful. We stayed in one of the upper units and had a gorgeous view of the ocean. It is nice to be out of the bustle of the village, but it is only a... More

Just returned from eight nights in the Xochitlan. It's advertised as the smallest/studio of the units, but there was more than enough space for two to spread out. We travel a lot, and found Xocotla to be one of the most well-appointed accommodations we've ever had the pleasure of staying in. As other reviewers have mentioned, even with a shared... More

We just got back from staying a week at Amixtli (the one bedroom apartment), while my husband's son stayed at Xochitlan (the studio apartment). The owners have thought of everything, which made it one of the best places we've ever stayed: 1. The kitchens our outdoors and well equipped, and have lounging areas so you can enjoy the outdoors. The... More

I stayed in Xocotla for a week in May, just at the beginning of "off-season." I booked a few months in advance with David who was excellent to work with, answered questions fully and thoughtfully, and encouraged contact. As our arrival to Sayulita approached, David gave us very specific directions on how to reach the house and (as he and... More
