Although there is much to recommend about this hotel, including a large pool and an adequate exercise room, it's not all that it pretends to be. Promotional material indicates that their free shuttle will take you anywhere you want to go, including to area theaters. That's no longer true, however. There is shuttle service to Mayo clinic and related hospitals,... More

Thank you for taking the time to review your recent stay at BEST WESTERN PLUS Soldiers Field Tower & Suites. I am saddened that we failed to give you the superior accommodations and consideration we want to give all of our guests. We discussed our shuttle policy at length a few months ago. We realized that many guests were waiting... More

I stayed here when visiting friends. The rooms, although dated, where good value and of a good size. Basically a one bedroom suite with full kitchen. Mainly to be useful to visitors to the Mayo clinic. The staff were helpful and friendly as I messed my plans around but they were flexible. The attached restaurant served up good food and... More

Stayed here with my husband and 2 kids for a wedding. The pictures are very misleading. We requested a 1 bedroom with 2 double beds with mini kitchen. When we checked in, they informed us the room would be in the building across the street- which is set up like a motel, hallways are outdoors, parked in front of your... More

I found myself headed to Rochester, MN for a medical conference and decided to save a few dollars by avoiding the $200 per night hotels that are immediately adjacent to the Mayo Clinic. I travel quite a bit and have stayed in Best Westerns many times before with no problems. I made the reservation through Expedia, which may have been... More

Yes, the accommodations were "fine", but that doesn't warrant an 'excellent' rating in my books. We were put in the "suite", which is a pretty fancy title for a shabby apartment, because of the dog. The price was fair for what you got. We were told breakfast ended at 9am, but at 9:05 the whole room was totally cleared of... More

Our family stayed there as part of a block for a sporting event in a one bedroom suite + a murphy bed with kitchenette. It was perfect for our needs. It was very quiet. Fine, it's not the Hilton but we were not expecting it to be. We stayed in one of the outer smoking rooms for 3 nights, 3rd floor facing away from the hotel. Loved the room, used the kitchen, loved the privacy, it was spotless. Use the fan between the rooms, otherwise the bedroom gets too hot. We cranked it up... More

We travel extensively and spent 27 nights in various hotels in several states with only one bad experience. We came to Mayo for medical appointments which began at 7:30 am. We arrived late and were late going to bed after unpacking. The accomodations were older and somewhat shabby, but trouble began when we went to bed. Both my husband and I... More

Great place to stay for trip to Mayo for medical purposes. It provides its own shuttles directly to the doors of the facilities for which we never waited more than a few minutes. The parking was free and the free internet link worked great. We stayed in the one bedroom suite that actually has a door unlike some 'suites.' The... More

They are four blocks from the Mayo. That's their big selling point. The front desk is harried and somewhat rude. You should stay in the tower. But it will cost you more. And you won't know that unless you call the somewhat rude front desk to make your reservation. More

Thank you for letting us know about your experience at our hotel.
