We stayed at this hotel for my daughter's figure skating competition at the end of January. We were impressed with the customer service from everyone. Walking down the hall going back to our room after breakfast we were greeted with Good Morning! from every staff member we saw. The rooms were big and clean, and if you pay for a... More

I was able to obtain a special rate for my extended family that made a difficult time a little more pleasant. Our beloved uncle was dying from pancreatic cancer and we arranged to converge on Duluth to say our goodbyes. We arrived 3 days before his departure and we are grateful to the Canal Park Lodge for their kind hospitality.... More

Great place to stay for a quiet weekend or so. Great continental breakfast, great views, and very snug/comfy rooms. This is a great place and is near Grandma's Restaurant, and many tourist attractions. More

Perfect place to stay on your way up north to "real" lodges. Currently our favorite Duluth stay. Has very much of a classic Lodge ambience, in a sparkling new hotel. For years we stayed at a nearby Canal Park hotel on our way up north, a large hotel where we had chronic internet problems. We need a daily internet check-in... More

Beautiful property in a great location. Expensive but you have to pay to be that close to the water. Great breakfast and hospitality hour in the evenings. More

The view of the lake from my room was great. Considering it was a busy hockey weekend, it was not that bad. Kids were running in the hall ways, and we tried to have our breakfast late in the am when the kids were gone to their games. The location is great; the staff is friendly and accomodating. More

We went down to Duluth with 30 girls, and stayed at the hotel. The staff were very friendly when we checked in, and they had us all checked in in no time! The rooms were beautiful, with great beds, and a fantastic bathroom. The breakfast in the morning was great, with a waffle maker and a wonderful coffee bar. The... More

A great location, being close to the lift bridge and restaurants. Rooms were very nice and clean and ours had a good view over the lake. Beautiful sunrise over the lake with a walk along the boardwalk. Then, the breakfast is one of the best, complete with eggs, sausage, and bacon. We carried ours outdoors to an eating area with... The reviews about this hotel are all true - unless you are unlucky enough to be there the weekend the place is overrun by teenagers and their drunk parents. It was loud. Rowdy. Drunks in the hallway at 3 am. Poor, poor night of sleep. At breakfast - the hotel guests - young and not so young alike - show... More

The Good: --Great breakfasts! Waffles, cereal, eggs, bacon, sausage, juice, bagels, yogurt, and so on. --Great location – can walk down the main drag of Canal District, watch the ocean liners come and go, and just enjoy the view of the water. --There’s a boardwalk along the water and a pebble “beach” that’s enjoyed by kids & grown-ups alike. The... More
