We have been going to Arcadia Lodge for four years after finding it by accident on the internet looking for a kid friendly place to stay for a weekend in September while attending a wedding in Big Fork, and we wanted to take my grandson fishing as well. We stayed right by the beach the first year and after that,... More

We came up to Arcadia Lodge to spend a few days fishing in August. The cabin was clean and well stocked for cooking. Arcadia has a Fishing Guide speak on Sundays to answer questions and give tips. AC worked great for sleeping, plus the beds were comfortable! We are booking again for next year- 16 people.

Very neat, clean, modern 'cabins'...more like lake homes. A/C. Helpful staff, nice beach area, with floating play toys for kids of all ages. They were very accommodating for our family group of 86 people. Very willing to work with you to get things just right. Call early for availability....at least a year in advance. Dining room on site for evening... More

My family just returned home from staying a full week at Arcadia Lodge. This is a very nice, family friendly resort. This was our first time staying at Arcadia Lodge & it was well worth the 6 1/2 hour drive it took to get there from our home in WI. We stayed in the duplex cabin Whitetail. It was a... More

My family had a reunion at Arcadia last week. We really enjoyed it. We stayed at one of the largest cabins: Bayview. It has been renovated, and we found it clean and spacious. The great room was large and beautiful, with enough room for everyone. The staff was helpful, and Casey was outstanding. He is a hobby photographer, and we... More

Our three families--two sisters and a brother--and their children and grandchildren, 29 in all, stayed last week at the Arcadia Lodge. We rented two large, seven bedroom lodges--Mapleview and Birchview--and a pontoon boat and fishing boat. The experience was exceptional. The accommodations were precisely what the Lodge had advertised--clean, well furnished, well equipped. The kids, ranging in age from 16... More

This is a beautiful place on Turtle Lake Beach. We had a huge cabiln with lake views. The living room was spacious, the only flaw was that the furniture was very uncomfortable. We hired a local fishing guide, Ken Wood, who was incredible. We found great fishing spots, caught lots of fish and were entertained with his great personality and... More

We stayed at Arcadia Lodge in a "newly renovated cabin". The cabin and furniture was filthy, the refridgerator did not work properly and the water in the cabin smelled terrible. Furthermore the trolling motor and the live well did not function properly on the boat that I rented. The water trampoline as well as most of the other water toys... More

My family has been coming here for years, but we have taken a break due to financial troubles. Anyway, all the cabins have been rebuilt in the last several years, and the workmanship is wonderful. All the cabins have the half log styling outside, and a tongue and groove inside. They are completely furnished (stone, fridge, furniture) with new furniture,... More

Steve and his family bought this abandoned historic lodge 10-15 years ago, and have built it into a first-class dining lodge with large modern cabins - all overlooking beautiful Turtle Lake. The staff is fun, gracious, and welcoming, and helpful with the little things. The cabins & lodge rooms all enjoy views of the lake and have decks. There are... More

Official Description (provided by the hotel):
We invite you to start your family's own vacation tradition at Arcadia Lodge this year. Located on the shores of Big Turtle Lake, Arcadia Lodge is a Minnesota family resort located in the north-central part of the state, 30 miles north of Grand Rapids, just off the Edge of the Wilderness National Scenic Byway. It is completely surrounded by the Chippewa National Forest. Sparkling clear blue waters, the call of the loon, a soaring eagle and the tranquility of a new born fawn are all part of the true northwoods getaway that guests experience here. We have 21 cabins and three motel-style lodge units to choose from. The cabins range from two huge 10-bedroom lodges and three six bedroom cabins that are perfect for family reunions, to two, three, four and five bedroom cabins with all the amenities. There's even a cozy single bedroom cabin for two. All the cabins feature modern conveniences like air conditioning, satellite TV, kitchens with automatic dishwashers, electric coffee makers and microwaves, and full baths with both tub and shower. The majority of our cabins have gas fireplaces and each cabin has its own deck and/or screened porch with patio tables and chairs or picnic tables and a charcoal grill. Weekly cabin rentals include free dock space for your own boat. Three spacious Lodge Rooms are located above the main lodge and offer motel-type lodging in a resort atmosphere. The single room units have two queen beds, a full bath with tub and shower, air conditioning, satellite TV, microwave, mini-fridge and a coffee maker. The large Norway Pine Suite has air conditioning, satellite TV, a full kitchen with dishwasher, a comfortable living room and dining area, and two bedrooms, each with a queen bed. It also has a large private deck overlooking the lake. The Lodge Rooms are available for single night rentals as well as by the week. ... more   less
