I normally would not send a negative review to any business if i did not consider it needed to be known. Now i understand that the policy that is set forth by business owners have always been to try to protect not only the consumer but also the business in questions. I recently had reservations at the Hanover House in... More

I just spent Thanksgiving on Martha's Vineyard with my family. We had a wonderful time. What a beautiful island! The only negative, and a major one, was our B&B, the Hanover House. The two buildings (Hanover House and Clarke House) need A LOT of repair and renovation. Do not trust the pretty pictures. The layout of some of the room... More

My wife and I checked into the Hanover House Inn, looking forward to a quiet and relaxing visit to Martha’s Vineyard. The advertisement for the inn states that it is “Perfect for that quiet romantic stay you wanted.” The room that we reserved was called “Room 6—A Quiet Escape.” It was anything but quiet. There was a wedding party booked... More

We spent 3 nights at Hanover House over the Columbus Day weekend and everything was great, from the lovely welcome from Diana to the excellent breakfasts (and they are really excellent) to the sound advice from innkeeper Steve on the island's hiking trails. Best of all, Steve and Diana (and other staff whose names we didn't catch) were unfailingly helpful... More

We needed a last minute room and Steve was able to accomodate us. Stay in Room 16, a nice little cottage set off to the side of the house. After staying at a horrible hotel the night before because we couldn't make the ferry in time the first thing we noticed was how the room smelled clean and how cute... More

We found this inn through tripadvisor and agree with the general consensus that it is an excellent choice. Steve the Inn-keeper is pleasant, gracious, helpful and really seems to enjoy having guests. Breakfast was delicious; the best hash browns we've ever had. More

Lovely B & B. Reasonable, too, compared to other properties in MV. Able to walk to Main St. where the shops and restaurants are. Staff great - friendly and accommodating. Loved the sumptuous breakfast (great waffles) and afternoon desserts. Stayed in blue room ( # 11?). Nicely appointed. Bathroom clean. Rug a little worn and a few dust bunnies behind... More

My husband and I stayed here over labor day weekend in Room #8. The room was very cute and I loved our 4 poster bed. It was our first experience in a B&B so I didnt' really know what to expect but it was all great. The room and the bathroom were clean and I liked our breakfast every morning... More

This is a great inn with very clean rooms. The staff are very nice! The breakfest is awesome, with homemade waffle, quich, and tons of fresh fruit and cereal. The owner Steve is great with recomending places to go, and things to see on the wonderful Island of Marthas Vineyard. A must stay for anyone staying in Vineyard Haven. More

We stayed here for a week as part of our honeymoon in room #8. This place is very clean and located a few minutes from Vineyard Haven center where you can catch all the buses. The innkeepers are great, very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was awesome -- honestly above and beyond that of any we've had at a B... More
