Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

My husband and I enjoyed an extended weekend at the Inn and couldn’t have been more pleased with our stay! Our room had everything we needed including a small refrigerator, microwave and coffee pot. Our room was quaint and clean. We had a top floor room which had a cute balcony! Even though the weather was cool, we still got out there in each morning to enjoy coffee and the Inn’s homemade cranberry and blueberry muffins which were delicious! And another plus is the location. Nauset and Skaket Beach are about 5 minutes away in each direction. The downtown is even closer with access to the Cape Cod Rail Trail, stores and restaurants.

In one sense I don't want to leave a glowing review because I don't want the secret to get out. Seriously, this hotel way exceeded our expectations. It was superbly well maintained, super clean, great bed, super soft sheets and towels and great location. I just don't want them to become a victim of their success. We had a wonderful time, the owners were very very nice, and the wife makes homemade muffins (blueberry, cranberry, chocolate, corn) every day. It was definitely high value for the price paid. We've stayed at independently run motels before and they usually are less than what you'd get from say a Hampton Inn, but this seriously was so well kept and clean we are definitely going back and making reservations early. We were there just a couple of weeks ago in September so it wasn't beach or pool weather, too cold for that, but the pool looked just as well kept as the rooms. One nitpick, the rooms do not have carpet, but the tiles are that grey faux wood look which is very much in vogue now, so it's all very updated and great looking. Anyway, highly recommended.

I can't figure out why there are so many gushing reviews, possibly because this is an optimal solution for the area. It's a fairly standard US motel. OK, owners are friendly, it's reasonably priced for the area and the rooms are everything you'd expect in a motel, possibly a bit more, with microwave and fridge, and you get free muffins and coffee for breakfast. The bed was a bit strange, rather high off the ground and I seemed to be falling out of it. Two comfy chairs are on wheels (?). The AC, as for a standard US motel, is noisy when suddenly cutting in and out and there is a busy main road nearby, which is great if you enjoy listening to V8-engined trucks being floored. There is a huge supermarket within walking distance (parking also available if you prefer to drive). Also it's not far from Orleans and sort of equidistant from all the good places in Cape Cod you'd want to go to i.e. Chatham, Harwich, Dennis, and Provincetown, even if 'beach' is a bit of a misnomer -you didn't actually expect it to be on a beach did you?

The room was very comfortable and the shower was very easy for my handicapped wife. Refrigerator and microwave in the room was appreciated. Host was very pleasant and continental breakfast was a nice feature, although I would have liked a variety of danish in addition to the muffins, but overall we were quite pleased.

My wife and I booked 2 nights via phone and found the owners to be accommodating and friendly. Our room had 2 queen beds along with cable tv, microwave, refrigerator and many other convenient amenities. Great rooms and fair rates and location is close to many museums, restaurants and shops. We wouldn't hesitate to book this motel again....

We were recently camping in cape cod when Hurricane Lee rolled in and we decided a hotel would be the safest option. We looked at a few hotels in our price point and none of them appeared well kept. We pulled into the Skaket Beach motel and asked a patron if the rooms were clean. They proceeded to tell us absolutely and the owners were wonderful. We stayed 2 nights and couldn’t agree more! The room was beautifully clean, spacious, in our price point and the owners were on the premises and absolutely wonderful. I would highly recommend this motel.

lovely hosts ! nice property , good value for cost ! I would stay here again, but next time ask the hosts to turn on air conditioning before we arrive as it was hot and took a while to cool down , plus helps get humidity out of the air . Hosts made fresh muffins each morning to have with coffee and orange juice!

The most friendly, clean, quiet place that I would return to in a minute. Loved the pool and operators were the most friendly, fun people to interact with on a fun/business basis. Will return again when I can.

We like staying at Skaket Beach Motel because the rooms are nice and the location is great. We actually stayed in the same room 2 years in a row. We could get to the beach in 10 minutes and you have a supermarket across the street which serves our needs.
