The best stay in the area. They have done a great job around the grounds and pool area. Pool is heated not many pools in the area that are heated. The staff is great!!! Fantastic location! Shuttle bus into Ptown so you don't have to worry about parking. View is great and they have renovated the rooms.

This motel is a real gem! The exterior evokes a well-preserved vintage mid-century beach motel with heated pool, while our spacious room had been updated for 21-century amenities and comfort. The room had an up-to-date kitchenette, with large fridge, stove, coffee maker, and toaster. The bed was comfortable, the linens were pristine, and the room was clean and well maintained. Cape View Motel is close to beaches, bike trails, golf courses, restaurants, and picture-perfect Cape Cod villages such as Wellfleet. A mere ten minutes away from Provincetown, it is close enough for a quick trip, but far away enough to avoid the hurly-burly and inflated hotel prices. Check-in was quick and easy, and the staff was great. Tip: after a day at the beach, have a glass of wine while you watch the sunset over the Cape Cod Bay from the balcony.

The Cape View has the most stunning view of the Provincetown Harbor of any place. New owners have made some lovely improvements. The bed was super comfortable. The staff all very sweet and accommodating. We were in a kitchenette (full size fridge and stove) on the second floor and stayed for 9 nights. Our room was further away from Route 6 and was very quiet. The location is great for getting into Ptown, loads of hiking options, visiting nearby kettle ponds, beaches and bike riding. This is the second time we stayed at the Cape View (the first was in August, 2009) and it still has a local feel, but with nice plantings and upgrades.

We had the most expensive room, 221 and the views were magnificent around the wrap around porch. The staff were very pleasant and the grounds and pool area were well kept. The room itself had a lot to be desired. The king bed was like a brick, so if you have back issues, it wasn’t the best. We had no hot water twice for showers, which was unnerving. The bathroom was a constant smell of mustiness and oil burning…a very sewer like smell every time you entered the bathroom. And the bathroom itself had much to be desired. The water pressure was like someone spitting on you…not enjoyable at all. Instructions were left to work the tv. Never could get a signal to watch one show or news. There was almost non existent internet, which was pretty bad. You may get a signal for a moment and then it was gone. I had to buy data twice for my phone, since I pretty much could only use that and not my tablet. We left early due to the new COVID outbreaks in Provincetown and just over the whole room situation.

I'm not sure why this motel has such high ratings. I paid extra for a kitchenette and balcony room thinking I was going to get one of the better rooms, but mine was located on the 1st floor. The top floor neighbors woke up around 5am everyday and any footstep they made you heard. I heard the drawers slamming and anything that dropped on the floor above! I thought it might have been just those particular people, but we heard the maid just as audibly. To top it off, the slamming of the balcony slider door upstairs didn't help. Mentioning this, the balcony slider door in my room was almost impossible to open and close. But the number one concern is that the room smelled like mold! The kitchenette itself had no ventilation! I also got peeped at (someone deliberately stopped and watched me) through the bathroom window before I went in the shower! Spend the extra money to stay at a better place in the area. This place was 100% not worth the price I paid.

Well maintained, updated and SUPER CLEAN with everything I needed for a quiet, comfortable stay. Awesome sunset view from my private balcony over a distant Cape Cod Bay. Easy, hospitable check-in with excellent COVID-safe protocol. Highly recommend this modest, quaint motel with all the amenities needed for making your own meals in your room’s kitchenette area, if desired: full fridge, range, microwave, sink with all utensils and cookware provided. Couldn’t be happier with this choice! Great value for minimal cost (they should charge more!) 😁
