We could not have asked for a better experience. The hostess was very inviting and personable, the food was incredible, and the accommodations were charming, clean and comfortable. The location was on a quiet street but was just a short walk from quaint shops and public transportation. We really loved our visit and intend to go back in the future.

My wife and I decided to visit the Boston area to see the change of season leaves. We arrived in the first week of October. The B&B is located off the Red Line of the mass transit system locally referred to the as the "T". Only a 2 block walk through a picturesque town center filled with shops and bakeries,... More

We stayed in the penthouse suite, complete with bedroom, sitting room with kitchenette and en suite bathroom. It had everything we needed for our four nights stay during Marathon weekend. The breakfasts had a nice variety of foods and it was fun to chat with the other guests. Claudia is a very hospitable and caring hostess and was waiting for... More

Loved this place. Great hospitality, spotless house, great location. Claudia was friendly, accommodating and the room was superb. The house is just steps from part of Newton Village, it's on a quiet street, and the bed was extremely comfortable. Can't wait to stay here again!

I stayed here for 3 nights during marathon weekend. I loved the decor of the home and of my room (a bit reminiscent of country living). Breakfast was delicious (continental style - fruit, bagel/pastry, choice of cereals, fresh hot coffee) and beautifully presented. Claudia is a kind, thoughtful, and caring host. The house is an easy walk to the T... More

Here for the Boston Marathon my wife and I stayed 5 nights. Claudia is caring, respectful and helpful. The house is in wonderful shape and clean. The "T" line commuter system is only a block away so getting downtown is quicker on the Green Line than by driving. After the explosions at the end of the race we were badly... More

3rd floor suite is like having your own apartment: bedroom, living room and kitchen and bath(shower) off a central hall at the top of the steps. The house has character and quirks like squeaky floors and the roof angles in the bathroom that make it impossible to have the mirror over the sink high enough but make it far more... More

Claudia Jacobs' A Village B&B is a great alternative to staying in the center of Boston. Her place is just a block away from the Green Line T station in beautiful Newton, and it's just a 20-minute ride into the city. The rooms are comfortable, and Claudia is very accommodating.

What a fantastic place! Cozy, spacious, airy, sunny, I even found it a wonderful spot to watch a snow storm! Really, couldn't have asked for a better B&B stay. Clean, comfortable and well appointed. Claudia makes you feel so welcome and yet is respectful of your privacy. Her breakfast is something to look forward to, from fresh fruit, bagels and... More

My wife and I were in Newton for a workshop and stayed at Village B&B. Our experience was great and our host Claudia was very helpful and responsive. The workshop was in Newton so we took the "T" back and forth every day, which is very convenient and close. We'd go back again anytime.
