we went on a ski vacation to Saddleback and our family of 4 was pleasantly surprised by the Rangeley Inn. We had read a few negative reviews and were a bit concerned but our experience was great. If you want a fancy inn with tons of modern ammenities this place is not for you, but good luck finding a place... More

The Inn is in need to a major facelift. I booked online and got one price and when I booked it the price jumped. I called the Inn and they told me they would adjust when I checked in (which they did). I asked for a Queen bed and got a double. We had a last minute dog sitter cancellation... More

In the old days the Rangeley Inn exemplified what a mid sized inn should be; warm, courteous, responsive and proud. All of these qualities were absent from our last visit. I booked over the phone in may and was promised that a canoe would be available upon my arrival. No canoe was available nor were my phone calls answered. The... More

DO NOT STAY HERE ! In June 2012 I made a reservation to stay in the main inn for a night in September. Three nights before I was scheduled to arrive The Rangeley Inn notified me that my reservation had been changed to a room in the "motor lodge". I replied that I was not traveliing 500 miles to stay... More

Greetings, I understand your last experience at the Inn was not as expected. I wanted to let you know that we have a new management team in place as of January 2013 and part of our reservation process is now to confirm a room in the Inn or the Lodge for all future guests. I do hope that the next... More

Our hosts, Dominique and Charles Goude' welcomed us with open arms. The inn is beautiful and like stepping back into time. The food was fantastic. We had one meal in the dining room, one in the tavern and two breakfasts. Everything was excellent, with absolutly perfect service. Both Chares and Dominque went to each table to ensure the food and... More

When I made this reservation, I was looking for a place with a kitchenette. I specifically asked if their cottages (which are separate from the main hotel) had kitchenettes and were told they did. However, when we arrived we discovered that the units had only a microwave and small refrig in them--no sink, no cooktop, no dishes or utensils. We... More

This is definitely an older property. Lovely to sit on your porch by the lake in the back part of the property which is separate frm the older inn itself. Sort of like a motel setup. Our room was large w coffee maker and fridge. Also had king bed w jacuzzi tub. Yes furnishings we're older but the area of... More

The illustration on the website is very disceptive. This was once a grand hotel perhaps in the 50's or 60's, but no longer. It was very run down. No one stays at the actual inn, but in a small building out back. This was also very old. Comforters and curtains looked to be 30 years old. The outside of the... More

My girlfriend and I stayed in the motor lodge, it's behind the Inn and is on Haley Pond, The room was very nice and clean and we found no spiders, as someone has posted previously. The Inn itself is a beautiful old building. The staff were very friendly and the food was fantastic. I would highly recommend staying at the... More
