Lovely inn, easy 10 min walk to shops and restaurants in Portland, while providing quiet surroundings in an upscale residential neighborhood. Buddy and Cindy are warm and welcoming hosts, with excellent tips for dinner and sightseeing. Nice to have off-street parking. Hot breakfast was outstanding, and even enjoyed homeade granola. This is the second time my partner and I have stayed at the Inn on Carleton. Both times we remarked at the friendliness of staff (but not intrusive), the quality of the accommodations and the deliciousness of the breakfast. This is truly a lovely place to spend some time.
