I truly believe this hotel deserves to be better than "#20 of 37 hotels in Ogunquit". Proof enough is the fact that my family has been coming to this same spot every year since the 1960's. As the youngest member of my family, I have been coming here for all of my 25 years. To say that I am a... More

We had been driving all day, beginning in NH, and couldn't believe our fortune when we arrived at the Marginal Way House. We booked online and didn't quite know what to expect, but simply floored by the views. We stayed in the 6 room motel at the edge of the property, on the upper floor, and just sat and watched... Had a wonderfully relaxing 3-night stay in October, and the off-season rate was very reasonable. Of course room choice is key. We were lucky to get a beautiful ocean view from the 1st floor of the Wharf House. Location is perfect, on a charming side street off the village center. There aren't a lot of amenities here (no room phones),... More

The main buillding at The Marginal Way House is an Old New England House quite quaint and located on the waterfornt without the noise of a crowded beach. Nice lawn in front facing the sea where one can bring pets during low season. Cozy and inviting porches. Friendly atmosphere. More

The Marginal Way House "A memory maker and love of a lifetime" review is the most accurate of all here. We have been staying there for 10 years and It that review catches the distinct charm and fun of the place which is pretty much how we feel. Why is this wonderful jewel of a hotel rated only 23rd, with... More

Our family has been coming to the Marginal Way for 40 years and have watched it pass to the new generation who have continued the fine traditions, gardens, charmingly pristine guestrooms and the warmth and wit of parents Brenda and Ed. No where else in Maine can you discover in one place all that this absolutely wonderful hotel can offer,... More

Friendly place on a property with great views of the sea and the beach. The porch was meant to sit and watch the tide`s movements from. Rooms could stand an updating. More

We were here for only 2 nights but will be back for a longer stay. The location is perfect, walking distance to town, the beach and the Marginal Way. The rooms are simple but comfortable and the staff are extremely friendly and helpful. The best view in town. We will be back. More

Stayed at Marginal Way House last week of July 2011. Enjoyed stay very much. Great view with a mild breeze so heat never got unbearable. View overlooks beach and footbridge. Staff was available but not intrusive. Centrally located in town so everything was in walking distance. Price was competitive for the area. Good for families. If you're looking for a... More

We love the Marginal Way House and everything it offers. The emaculate rooms, the spectacular view, the amazing, friendly and accomodating staff. And we have met such wonderful guests year after year. It makes us feel as though we're coming back to visit 'family'. More
