Location and pricing are great - older motel with updates/improvements being worked on since under new management. Staff are very friendly and I would definitely stay here again when in the area! Bring your own coffee though as they only offer 2 freebies / day

Our son attends UMF which is 4 hours away from our house so we like to spend the night when we visit. The Colonial Valley Motel is clean, friendly, safe, and located near food and stores. No pool or place to hang out just a affordable place to sleep.

My husband & myself were heading back home to Nova Scotia. We had been on the road since 5am & it was about 4:30 pm when we came upon the hotel. We decided to stay for the night. The rates are great, rooms are very clean, & the staff were very friendly & helpful. Both of us were exhausted. The... More

The room was exceptionally clean and, despite the proximity to the highway, remarkably quiet. We were happy to discover a great "recreational" trail just a short walk away up a quiet road. The front office staff was very friendly. We'll definitely return if we're ever in Farmington again! (Word to the wise - the adjacent Chinese restaurant should be avoided... More

The room was neat, the bathroom clean. It is true, an updating facelift would make this into a gem, but it was over $20 LESS than the next cheapest the area. If you are looking for a REASONABLE place to crash/sleep this is the BEST in the area. If this is your honeymoon, you need to live in the hotel,... More

My wife and I take little road trips for rest and relaxation so we just drive till we get tired. Recently it was getting late and we came into Farmington so we inquired at a couple motels and the prices were far beyond a reasonable off season rate. We pulled into the Colonial Valley Motel and were promptly met at... More

This room was so old to a point where it was scary. Two towels, no phone, no iron, no hairdryer, duct taped remote, they didn't change the bedding, unadjustable shower head, one packet of shampoo and conditioner, and beds were not that great either. Was a bad experience for my family.

I stayed here for 3 nights and found it to be a wonderful gem ! It is reasonably priced, very clean, bright, with all the necessities one needs / wants. Closed tv, phone jacks, lots of lamps, radio, clean towels and bedding, well kept and maintained with a wonderful proprietor ! I have traveled around the world and this place... More

Needed to find a place when we took our son for a college visit, and liked what we saw on the website. When we called to make the reservation, they were VERY cooperative, polite, and helpful. When we got to the hotel, the room was nice. It is somewhat dated, and rough around the edges, but, the overall state was very... More

Colonial Valley Motel is a 1950's vintage motel located on busy Route 2 in Farmington Maine. It is situated near shopping, downtown Farmington (including U Maine Farmington), and is about 45 minutes from Sugarloaf ski area. The room was medium sized and quite clean. The style is absolutely vintage; the furniture was a bit worn, but the beds were comfortable... More
