This was the third time we'd stayed at the Pilgrim's Inn, and as usual, it was a sheer delight. Service, attention, free cookies and lots of extra little touches, innkeepers and staff who really keep on top of everything and CARE about their guests.

We were driving along the coast and looking for somewhere off of the well beaten track. We found Deer Isle on the map and considered staying in Stonington. However, when we looked into small inns and b&bs, we stumbled across the Pilgrim's Inn and were so glad we did. It was one of our very favorites of all time. The... More

Our now annual visit to Pilgrim's Inn (and its Whale's Rib restaurant) just ended. P.I. continues to be the best place we've stayed in Maine. Its rooms and cottages (where we stay) are always clean, well supplied and comfortable. Our cottage is a perfect resting place with space for a living area, an adequate, well-supplied kitchen, and huge deck overlooking... More

My husband and I stayed at the Pilgrim's Inn with our dog for a couple of nights recently. We had one of the cottages on the property which worked very well for the 3 of us. It was bright, clean and nicely decorated and looked out on the vast property and large pond in the back. Very relaxing. Dinner in... More

Because we booked last minute and arrived during Columbus Holiday, we had to move each night so we saw four rooms. They were all nicely appointed, clean and cozy and warm. The interior steps are a bit steep. The cookies were wonderful...wish I would have found them before the last day! Delicious, as was the hospitality by Amy and the... More

Just returned from visiting my sister in Deer Isle. I didn't stay at the Pilgrim's Inn, but I did dine (twice!) at the Whale's Rib Tavern. The food was fabulous. A great steak with fresh asparagus and mashed potatoes one night, and a pasta with gorgonzola sauce the other night. The staff was super nice and ambiance very cozy and... More

The Pilgram's Inn was charming, immaculate and authentic. The views were beautiful, the restaurant was amazing. It is a quiet little town, so not much to do. If you want peace and quiet in a beautiful B&B, you will love your stay. Don't miss the great chocolate chip cookies!

I'm not sure how they put calm into the air at this inn, but they do. Within minutes of arriving, I was in a different headspace - feeling time slow down and the comfort all around. The simplicity of this historic inn mixed with the care given to the details made for a positive experience at every turn - the... More

What a lovely, historic, authentic place. The building is so tastefully done - we loved the old floors and creaky stairs. And the grounds were wonderful - we spent a restful morning with our coffee sitting outdoors staring at the lake. Then insode for a sumptous bWe will definitely return. And the restaurant, The Whale's Rib, was fabulous. Such a... More

We stayed at Pilgrtim's Inn & Cottages for two nights in September 2012. We stayed in a room on the second floor of the inn. We ate dinner twice at the inn. Our total visit to Deer Isle lasted nine nights. The inn has great ambiance that respects its heritage. One shouldn't go to an inn that dates back to... More
