We very much enjoyed our stay here. Jim and Larry were perfect hosts, the breakfasts were delicious and staying in such a perfectly restored house a great experience. We also loved the whole area and the town of Bath.

Thank you for your kind words....we enjoyed your visit as much as you enjoyed our Inn. We do make every attempt to help you find just the "right" experiences when you visit the midcoast. We agree that Bath is a remarkable city with both charm and uniqueness. More

Like our typical guests, these folks were just really enthusiastic about being in Maine....all we did was take a clue from their enthusiasm and run with it....we have such fun working with our guests and their needs. We continue to enjoy being innkeepers. More

My husband and I stayed at the Galen Moses House on a short 3 day trip to Mid Coast Maine for our 33rd anniversary. The house is filled with antiques and interesting collectibles. Larry and Jim were caring hosts who shared history of the house and the city of Bath. we enjoyed sitting on the porch enjoying evening refreshments with... More

This property is a true labor of love. From the exterior intricate paint design to the interior antiques and decorating, it is obvious that Jim and Larry are loving caregivers of this historical property. At first, all of the decorating and accessories were a bit daunting, but once we really looked at them, we appreciated all of the effort and... More

We appreciate your comments, both positive and suggestive. We do an 8:00 full breakfast and enjoy the interactions among our guests....the discussions are always lively and seem to be enjoyed by everybody. We do not place TV's in the rooms as the noise could be annoying to the guests in the next room. We do provide a large guest TV... More

An elegant, yet informal, bed and breakfast in Bath hosted by jim and Larry who go out of their way to make sure guests have everything they need, including a uniquely decorated room. There are several 'themes' - The Victorian, The Galen Moses Room, The Maple Room, the Safari Room, etc. Antiques and memorabelia adorn every room. Plenty of places... More

The Galen Moses House is a feast for the eyes. Every room is cluttered with period photographs, prints, and interesting relics. My favorite was the collection of early carpet sweepers on display in the upstairs hall. The dining room is adorned with beautiful stained glass windows that catch the morning light. There are intricatly carved bookcases, desks, and fireplace mantles... More

We recently visited Bath Maine and stayed at the Galen C. Moses House for 3 nights (early June 2012). We were enthralled with the decor and hosts, as well as the exceptionally yummy breakfasts we received. We would not hesitate to recommend this establishment to other travelers wanting a truly unique B & B experience.

Overall, a very satisfying stay - gracious hosts, comfortable rooms and a delicious breakfast. However, this one is not or everyone...it's for those who embrace the decorative; it is not for those who value simplicity and old world elegance. The house was born of a certain architectural era - part Victorian, part Arts and Crafts - the result is a... More
