We were expecting the motel to have a view of the water. If you stand on a chair and are more than 6 feet tall, you'll be able to see a small slice of water. The motel is clean, a good value for the money just don't expect a view of the water. (You are within about a mile or... More

This was recommended heavily by the staff at cooks lobster restaurant over the other island motel. As they said, the place has been recently redone, ripping things back to the studs and putting in all new stuff. Very clean, very spaacious. It is a motel, and not a fancy one, but it is just fine. I would rather have a... More

Stayed four nights here in September 2012 and found the motel to be perfect for our needs. Clean, quiet, well maintained, and friendly. Barry the manager was a very nice guy and very helpful. The mini-fridge and microwave in the room were wonderful for snacking on leftovers (when lobster is $4 a pound like when we were in mid-coast Maine,... More

We found this place to be wonderfully comfortable and exceptionally CLEAN! The host, Barry, was a treasure trove of information about great places to eat (he recommended the Cribstone Bridge lobster shack- it was absolutely the most amazing lobster experience we've ever had!). He was also warm, friendly, and very hospitable. We will stay here again and again. We sat... More

Enjoyed the hospitality of Cook's Island View Motel. Pool was great for grandkids. Rooms were clean and have been modernized with refrigerators, microwave, and cable TV. Only draw back was the double bed was listed as Queen bed. Would definitely go back for a visit.

Comfortable, ultra-clean and cozy - with a lovely view. Management very cordial & knowledgeable - enjoyed our stay! Cable TV & Wi-Fi, nicely appointed, & centrally located on Bailey Island. Definitely worth paying return visit!

Reunion was held mostly at a friend's home & nearby restaurants. One of the few motels on the island, Cook's was reasonable & supplied us with what we needed. Clean, accessible, parking, good location to tour the island.

What a wonderful welcome we experienced from the reservation phone call to the arrival and check-in. If you want to feel valued, come to Cook's. The host is pleasant and seems to have all the time in the world to chat. He has a grand sense of humor too. We would certainly return to Cook's.

Stopped here on our second night of our Maine trip. Our room was very clean, large, and comfortable. Basic motel setting. You can walk down the road about 1/2 mile for a spot to have breakfast.

Have been going to B.I. for many years, usually rent a house on the water, but due to 401k and other situations only could spend 2 days here. We tried to get into the other places: BAILEY ISLAND MOTEL, THE LOG CABIN. AND THE DRIFTWOOD INN , They were either too expensive or no rooms. I have often walked by this... More
