First, I love Natural Bridge State Park and the nearby Red River Gorge area and visited at least once a year for over 40 years. This visit included a family reunion, so I rented a two bedroom cottage. Last stay in a cottage was about ten years ago. That the cottage is old didn't bother us. Eat in kitchen, ok... More

We stayed here en-route to Ashville, NC since we had planned a meeting for noon on the date of arrival in nearby Campton, KY. That meeting changed to 800 the next morning so we got to travel the local area somewhat. The Lodge is in a beautiful location, Natural Bridge State Resort. It is next to or surrounded by the... Stayed in the lodge recently and found the rooms to be quite nice. Double queens with granite sinks and flat-screen TVs. The sink/mirror is separate from the toilet/bath which makes it easier for showering and prepping without running over each other. The restaurant has a good salad bar and the entire feel of the lodge facility is welcome and inviting.... More

We stayed in a one bedroom cottage, #206, March 13th. The bathroom needs a good cleaning or updated. The couch should have been disposed of long ago, the back was broken and bowed terribly. The kitchen was well equipped even though some of the dishes were not clean when put away. The bed was comfortable. For the price this was... More

I wanted to get away on a solo trip to recharge my batteries and chose to stay in a cottage rather than the lodge. The two bedroom (4 bed), two bath cottage was the only one available for my dates, and given the price of about $150 a night, I decided it was worth it. Boy am I glad I... More

These cottages have shoddy furniture, worn and wrinkled carpet, and no view. One bedroom had no fireplace. Very much in need of paint, repair, and cleaning. You have to lug your stuff up 3 flights of steps. At $150 per night, I was expecting a little more. This whole resort is lost in the sixties. The town of Slade is... More

OMG, this is really off the beaten path which makes it a hidden jewel in Kentucky. Our family stayed here for two nights and we found it to be fun and well worth it. The pool is amazing and one of the best and the hiking trails are shady. Some trials are quite challenging and yet others are easy enough... More

Natural Bridge State Resort Park is one of Kentucky’s 17 ‘resort’ parks where there is a lodge with rooms and a restaurant. On 2,380 acres of land, Natural Bridge is one of the larger ones. It offers year round cabins (11) and lodge facilities (35 rooms) with a pool, as well as seasonal camping. Chef Susan in the Sandstone Arches... More

The rooms are a nice size and carry out the 1950s or 60s lodge decor. They are well lit and neatly cleaned. There is a beautiful view of the Red River and the mountains outside the rooms especially in the Welcome Center. Most importantly, I would recommend the stay here, just because of the staff help. Everybody from the front... More

At first I was dissapointed in the cottage because the pictures they show on the website are much different. I guess those photos belong to a "luxury cabin" but overall I found this cottage and park very comfortable clean and relaxing. I attached photos of the inside of cottages that are in the 129.00 price range. As you can see... More
