Decided to stay in McGregor while visiting Prairie du Chien, Stauer House proved a cool and comfortable abode during a record heat wave--the AC did not falter. While our room was small it was quite clean and nicely furnished with some antique or reproduction pieces, the host was accommodating, and the hot breakfast was varied, unlike the continental style one...
