The host were very friendly. The room was clean, comfortable and spacious. But it was not so quiet. We heard cars passing by. And you can hear the train passing by and its rumbling and tooting several times during the night. You might hear that in the whole town. Breakfast was spartan and disappointing, only coffee, muffin, yoghurt.

I'm happy that you found the room comfortable. Yes, Sandpoint has dozens of trains going through daily, as well as 3 major highways. I rarely get comments on the noise, though. As far as downtown motels go, we are at least as far, if not the furthest removed from the noise of the railroad and main streets as any motel.... More

The K2 is located just off the main downtown area of Sandpoint and conducive to walking to restaurants, etc.. The rooms were nothing special but were clean and well tended. The proprietors were friendly and helpful; they gave me a great dinner suggestion (Eichardt's). I would definitely stay here again.

Great Inn in Sandpoint ID. We stayed here two nights in September 2012 and had a blast. As we travel by motorcyle, so glad to not have to drive to restaurants, shops, etc. A short 5 minute walk from the K2 and we were in downtown Sandpoint and enjoyed the sights. Great people at the K2, thanks Sheldon for the... More

K2 Inn is a great little motel within a couple blocks of the downtown core of Sandpoint, ID. The woman who greeted us in the office was extremely pleasant and helpful. The room surpassed our expectations, as it had a full kitchen, flat screen TV, and two queen beds (one of which was privately located within the suite). The linens... More

We stayed for four nights in August, 2012. The owners are very accommodating and friendly, and the room we had was beautiful. Yes, this is a "motel" - your car will be right in front of your room. Although motels rooms which open to the outside, on the ground floor, usually make me pause and consider safety, I felt very... More

I booked a room in advance, for a holiday weekend, based on the website photos and the good reviews here. When I arrived, the available rooms looked nothing like the photos, and both were so moldy smelling that there was no way I could stand to stay there. The rooms were very small and basic, with not even a closet.... More

I do recall this well as it involved our most requested room. I arrived in the office minutes after this occurred and immediately took the room offline. Upon checking the room I was unable to detect any odors. I then had everyone on my staff go through the room. They were also unable to ascertain any problems. As such, we... More

I thought it was a bit pricey for the room, but I am guessing other hotels/motels in Sandpoint are astronomical. The owner/manager was very friendly and helpful. Great location to walk to nearby restaurants.

Typical $70 room. Small, no closet or coffee maker. Coffee and some nice breakfast snacks are in the lobby, but not until 7am. Blowdryers and irons are available for the asking. Beds are old and soft. Basically clean. Staff is very friendly and helpful. The best part is the location. You can walk everywhere in town.

We stated at K-2 on August 18. Because of a reservation snafu, Dana was going to find us another room elsewhere at no cost to us. Turns out, a room became available and we were glad to pay (the very reasonable rate). Quaint, 50ish style motel, but very clean and comfortable. Dan and Sheldon couldn't have been more friendly and... More
