The K2 is located just off the main downtown area of Sandpoint and conducive to walking to restaurants, etc.. The rooms were nothing special but were clean and well tended. The proprietors were friendly and helpful; they gave me a great dinner suggestion (Eichardt's). I would definitely stay here again.

I booked a room in advance, for a holiday weekend, based on the website photos and the good reviews here. When I arrived, the available rooms looked nothing like the photos, and both were so moldy smelling that there was no way I could stand to stay there. I thought it was a bit pricey for the room, but I am guessing other hotels/motels in Sandpoint are astronomical. The owner/manager was very friendly and helpful. Great location to walk to nearby restaurants.

Typical $70 room. Small, no closet or coffee maker. Coffee and some nice breakfast snacks are in the lobby, but not until 7am. Blowdryers and irons are available for the asking. Beds are old and soft. Basically clean. Staff is very friendly and helpful. The best part is the location. You can walk everywhere in town.
