We spent 2 nights in mid-December in one of the rustic cabins. What fun! The wood stove kept our cabin nice and toasty. The remodeled bath house was great and kept nice and warm. The food in the lodge was great! We cross country skied nearby at the Powell campground and also at Lolo Pass. We also enjoyed the Jerry... More

Stayed here mid september when driving the old route 12 from Missoula tot Walla Walla. What a great place: cosy cabins in a throughly wild nature setting with good genuine cuisine, helpfull staff. From whatever side you arrive, you will now that true wilderness stille exists. What a route, I'm dying to come back here and drive it on motorcycle... More

A buddy and I pitched our tents here while on an 800 mile multi-state cycling tour. Free camping, but they ask you to pay for the shower, which seems reasonable at $5. The restaurant was quite good, and the outside deck/patio was very pleasant.

We were on a family road trip and stoped for a late lunch. Atmosphere was great, service OK, Food was OK, nothing real special, but given the time of day it was OK. It might be a nice place to stay as a family, but we had reservations elseware.

We usually visit this area every other year. My hubby was raised close-by and fished here long before Hghway 12 was finished into Missoula,Mt. from Lewiston,Id. He has seen many changes in the lodge, rebuilt after a horrible fire. Continues to be a fav.for us. Dog friendly which a plus. Excellent mountain accommodations with cabins which were remodeled since our... More

We shared the nachos appetizer, and it was okay (not $9 ok). However the chicken fried steak and garlic potatoes were outstanding! Not overcooked, and piping hot mashed red potatoes with perfect consistency gravy. Our waitress, Raja, was charming and attentive. I was a little put off by the man at the little desk taking reservations...he was quite rude to... More

This is practically the only game in town when you are in the middle of nowhere! The food is not bad but the rooms are small and not clean. However, I was surprised that the bathrooms were updated. That was a plus. Over priced for the size and cleanliness for sure! The food at the lodge is typical. Some salads,... More

While camping several years ago on the Lochsa River, stopped by to have an early dinner. Nice main lodge and beautiful deck, but food was poor. Returned in late June. Staff was downright snarly checking in. Cabin was poorly maintained. Even the grounds are shabby. The deck chairs were broken, The shower head put out streams of water like needles.... More

Every staff member we met was outstanding - cheerful, efficient, helpful. It's a lodge. It's rustic in some respects but what a great atmosphere for relaxing and enjoying trip! Quiet, laid back, super.
