The food was excellent, people were friendly, location superb. Especially enjoyed the milkshakes. Great stop between Redfish lake and Ketchum. We didn't spend a night so no idea of lodging.

My husband and I took our 2 grandson's up to the Stanley, ID area for the 4th of July. We drove past Stanley to Smiley Creek Lodge and ate lunch there. The food was really good, and even better were the people who work there. They were kind, friendly, very helpful and good to the kids! We ended up renting...

For starters, the lodge is not actually in Ketchum. It's closer to Stanley, ID. It's in the Sawtooth Valley, which is one of the most beautiful places I've ever seen. When I made my reservation there were no cabins available, but they had a room over the main lodge, or tepees. The tepees don't have private bathrooms, so that was...

If you want something different stay in a Tepee. It has a bed with a heated mattress pad. Very nice. Good breakfast at the diner. I recommend it. Cabins didn't look like much. Again go for the Tepee. Can't tell you what the lodge upstairs was like.
Simple but comfy accommodations; the rooms are always spotless. Handy little convenience store and good cheeseburgers at the cafe. Seems like an all around well-run place.
We kind of stumbled onto the Smiley Creek Lodge - the big wooden bear outside summoned us in - and the snowmobiles out front were alluring. The place was really rustic, down-to-earth, and authentic, very memorable and unique compared to most establishments in the Ketchum-Sun Valley area. The service was great, and the location alone was worth coming here for...

This place is REALLY rustic. And when you can stay at a brand new Hampton Inn for $89 a night, why stay here. The woman in the restuarant was very rude and didn't really seem like she wanted outsiders there. Then she served us cold coffee. Not recommended.
This is an isolated group of buildings with a large wooden lodge, several log cabins, two tepees and an RV park. The location is splendid,in a wide grassy valley between high mountains.Adjacent is a paved road and the airstrip.
We stayed in a simple one room cabin. It was clean and functional, with a comfortable bed ,opening windows with screens, and electric light. Bathroom facilities are...
