A great location for a weekend getaway with your spouse or friends. We spent a wonderful weekend with amazing breakfasts (don't miss the pancakes) and friendly, relaxed hosts. The property is in the middle of conversion from a German Inn and Restaurant to this Wine Bed & Breakfast, so the decor is in transition, but the service and eagerness to... More

I purchased this stay through Living Social for our 20th anniversary and upgraded to a cabin. When I read the reviews posted here about the lodge, I was a bit worried about my stay. First of all, not sure how many cabins most people stay in... but we loved our cabin! It's called "rustic cabin" - not "modern cabin." We... More

Pro: refrigerator in the room (stocked with complimentary soft drinks that were very cold); Con: refrigerator is in closet so you have to hang clothes around it; Pro: room very clean; Con: room smelled like bleach upon check-in; Pro: tasty breakfast with great coffee; Pro: friendly staff. The lodge interior is pleasant but dated---old carpet, old tile and bathroom fixtures,... More

This lodge is nice, but not spectacular. The owner went out of his way to immediately correct a window issue, and later TV reception issue. The room was nice and comfortable, and the property is lovely. Both the balcony and patio are great places in the evening to enjoy a bottle of wine, the scenery, and just relax. The view... More

We had a great experience at Sylvan Valley Lodge. We loved the quaint atmosphere and genuineness of the owners. We stayed in the Premium room and were very satisfied. The Lodge is in the process of rebranding itself, which means making upgrades. The owners are upfront about that and are open to feed back. This is not a franchise, this... More

Close to Helen and several wineries in the area. Owners went out of their way to make sure everything was perfect. I would highly recommend staying at this place in the fall when the Fall Leafs colors are out. They are upgrading rooms and doing an excellent job. Great Breakfasts. Worth the trip. Best diner was at Bernie's in Sautee-... More

So like many of the reviewers, we found out about this resort thru LivingSocial. We upgraded to a cabin. The cabin is away from the primary lodge and it's in a quiet, secluded area of the property. The room was sizable and cozy. Some furniture upgrades are needed. We did have some issues with the water on both nights. The... More

We also purchased a Living Social deal with 2 other couples. We upgraded to a cabin. The cabin was well constructed but in desperate need of upgrading. It was a great location. The wine tasting was nice. The breakfasts were awesome!! Wineries to hit: Serenity Cellars, Yonah Mountain. Best dinner in the area: Bernies. The sandwich shop in downtown Sautree... More

My husband and I had a lovely weekend despite the accomidations. The inn keepers were very nice and the room was clean. I was turned off by the disrepair of the room. Infact, when we had just walked into the room I suggested to my husband that we drive back home for the night. The room needs a complete overhaul.... More
