It's nice to be greeted by such friendly people, with a wonderful sense of humor. We were welcomed with homemade cake and coffee. After being shown how to avoid another "tourist trap" we were served the best lamb chop dinner, which was prepared with love. We had a nice night in good beds, and woke up to a lovely breakfast.... I was there with my father in April 2013 and it was reall wonderful. Kate and John are so friendly and they gave us a really great welcome with fresh scones and tea and coffee. Kajon House is close to the Clonmacnoise Abbey site. The hosts Catherine & John provided a very homely environment. We were welcomed with scones and coffee & departed with a gift of Catherine' superb home made scones. The room was well appointed and the bathroom quite adequate, although a little constrained. We spent only one night at Kajonhouse, but even if so short, our stay was unforgettable!
