Please allow me to start with the Excellent comments: 1) Group Sales rep, Andrea Smith was wonderful to work with in planning the 28 person, 3 day golf tournament.2) Joy Valenti, Conference Manager was suburb and on the ball during out stay. 3) Drew Smith, Golf Tournament Director was outstanding in every way in handling the logistics of our 3 day tournament.4) Check in was fast and easy, free valet service was excellent and fast. All staff were polite, friendly and courteous. Restaurant food quality and service was supreme, especially for our 28 person group awards dinner at the Canyon Lake Steakhouse (expensive but well worth it). Shout out ot Charles and Jeanne? who handled 28 guys to perfection in the Steakhouse private room. Hotel rooms / suites were top notch and very roomy and comfortable. Housekeeping was excellent. Shuttle service to and from the Lodge to the 3 golf courses was efficient and quick, never had to wait more than 3-5 minutes for shuttle to arrive. The Golf course staff was the best I've ever expereinced, and we have been to many top notch golf resorts over the 22 years of our group tournament. Red and Blue courses were fantastic, although none of us were crazy about the Black Course (crazy huge greens) and too tricked up. Now the "needs improvement" comments: 1) We had a large Hospitality Suite for the 28 guys to play cards, do the scoring of the golf, hang out, and just a good meeting spot to gather. However, the room was set up to our specs, but then twice (both Friday and Saturday), we arrived to the Suite and it was locked and totally stripped of the tables and chairs that were supposed to be in there. I have no idea who gave the order to lock and strip the suite, but it was hassle to find someone to open the suite and re-furnish it, as promised, two days in a row!. Terrible misscommunication somewhere! 2) The Caddie service was less than desirablle and not a very good price / value for what you get. Don't get me wrong, not ALL the caddeis were less than good, we had an excellent caddie on the 3rd day. We were in carts so each 4-some got a "group caddie" who really did not have to do too much and one caddie actullly announced on the first tee what he expected in the way of an extra gratuity, up and beyond the contracted $45 minimum per player! That is like a restaurent waiter telling you before you barely sit down, what they expect to make in the way of a tip...The Caddies are independent contractors, but they despearatley need training in golf guest protocol. This issue was the only reason I did not give Streamsong a 5-star review, but I will say it was 4.5 at least. All said and done, Streamsong is a wonderful golf resort destination and a very nice hotel, with excellent service. …
