We had a splendid time on our recent visit to this extraordinary period B&B. Attention to both the broad experience and the smallest detail earmarked our time at the Robbins House, and we left very happy with our choice. We recommend it without hesitation.

My husband and I stayed at the Silas W. Robbins House while visiting relatives in Wethersfield. The décor, cleanliness, service, and overall atmosphere of this B & B are overwhelming. We have stayed many places world-wide, but the Silas Robbins House beats them all. Bravo to John and Shireen! We will definitely be back.

My husband and I stayed at the Silas Robbins Inn over Easter Weekend. Our grandson was being christened at the Trinity College Chapel. What a surprise!! The Inn was fabulous. Impeccably clean and restored. Every room was immaculate and the bathrooms updated and had plenty of room. The Inn Keepers are so warm and welcoming. The breakfast offered in the... More

The Silas W. Robbins House is a fabulous place to stay. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and John and Shireen were fabulous hosts. The rooms and decorations were stunning especially in view of the history of the property. I would definitely stay there again given the opportunity.

One room for beautiful then the next! John and Shireen are the perfect hosts. The newly restored historic home had all the modern day comforts with the beauty of the victorian era, Each detail was beyond perfection both inside and out. The breakfast was fantastic, our entire stay exceeded any expectations. Our guest room, Cupids and Roses, was elegant and... More

We came to Hartford for a Bruce Springsteen show downtown. I'm so glad I found a gem. We had the most wonderful stay at this beautifully restored Inn hosted by John and Shireen Aforismo. This was a refuge just outside of Hartford. We felt as if we were transported back in time to serene and charming perfection. Two other rooms... More

The drive up to the inn starts off your experience. The inn is stately and grand and the landscaping is impeccable. It is warm and inviting. The inns furnishings are true to the period and in excellent condition. The decorations are beautiful and the bedding was heavenly. We stayed in the cupids and roses room and the ceiling in this... The Silas Robbins house was amazing. The house is beautiful and mixes old time feeling with modern amenities. It was totally renovated recently. It was pristine and the owners are wonderful. They catered to our food allergies for breakfast and really went above and beyond. I would DEFINITELY stay here again if I'm in the area.

We recently spent four days at your beautiful home. We have traveled extensively and stayed at many B & B's in different parts of the world and we can truly say this was one of the best. The home is perfectly appointed down to the smallest detail. The rooms are large and beautifully decorated. The owners were so gracious and... More
