Very much in need of maintenance .... Beds are old and uncomfortable bathrooms very small. The toilet sits so low to the floor and was loose! Vending machines didn't work. Hard to regulate temperature in room

I made last minute weekend plans to go and spend the night at the Mohegan Sun or Foxwoods Casino . Both hotels were outrageously priced (supply and demand), so I thought I'd check nearby hotels for a lower rate. I did find a room at the Clarion in New London, CT for $124. When I arrived, there was only one... More

I read all the reviews before booking and I have to say that for a hotel that is currently being run by the bank, they try real hard. The staff was very nice, we arrived early and although the night before they were full they were able to provide a room earlier. The room did not smell and was very... More

Note to Choice Hotels Management: How long since you have visited this Clarion Property? Do yourself a favor and stop by, unannounced and without identifying yourself. You'll see. This property falls short of the Clarion standard, and in all likelihood is the result of three factors: management, management, management. Don't take it out on the maids - - bathroom was... More

The room was decent. It was cheap so I was surprised that the room was as nice as it was. But the customer service was AWFUL. I have stayed at lots of hotels with so so service, but this was absolutely obnoxious. And I'm pretty sure one of the worst culprits was a manager. Definitely not worthy of being called... More

This was my first trip on my own this far north so I was winging it a bit. I relied on the reviews of others to choose this hotel for the beginning stop of my vacation. I needed to get off at the Amtrak in New London and pick up a rental car. (Don't plan on getting an AVIS on... More

So I stayed there for one night with some friends, ended up leaving a necklace and bracelet behind. Normally I'm very cautious when leaving hotels, always making sure that I have all my items. Well the morning we checked out we were in a rush and I was in an awful mood, so I assumed I had everything. My mistake.... More

In a word, this property is disgusting. We booked it on the phone with Choice Hotels looking for a AAA 3 diamond hotel. It was the only thing available. In hind sight we should have driven another hour but we were tired. Choice Hotels should be ashamed to have this property in their fine family of hotels. From the musty... More

I got the AAA discount making my room $107/night. Not worth it at all. There were cobwebs above the vending machines. The hallway smelled terrible, the carpets looked in good shape but needed to be steam cleaned for odor. The keycard doors are extremely old (we had to hold the handle up to even get our key to work). Lucily... More
