We arrived in the drizzly evening, stayed for one night and were pleasantly charmed by how cozy and quaint this place is. The dinner at the hotel was nice and quite unique. We shared a seafood appetizer and a house pate plate, the entre was a huge portion of steak, quail and lobster plate ...truly a unique experience!

Me and several of my friends booked 2 rooms at The Peck House. 2 of us sharing a room with a bathroom and our friends taking the smallest room with no bath. The hot tub is great and relaxing. It had a wonderful rustic mountain feel. The view from the bar is one I will never forget! The food in... More

We were given the bridal suite in this old hotel. It oozed character and had the view up the valley that drew Mr Peck to the place 150 years ago. It was bitter cold outside with snow falling on the peaks, but inside it was warm and comforting. The staff were very professional and great characters: in particular kath the... More

For a house built in the 1860s and added to over time it was quaint. Really, what more would you expect than charm, running water and slanted floors. Come to the Peck House for it's history and character and stay in an old lodge that fellow travelers from long ago also stayed.

This was a very interesting experience. The Hotel was built in the early 1800's and is the oldest hotel in the state of Colorado. Most everything in the hotel is orginal. Our room had a claw foot tub. All of the floors in the hotel slant. It is full of antiques. The restaurant in the hotel is a 5 star... More

My friend and I were in the area for a wedding so we made reservations to stay at The Peck House. When we got to our room it was extremely warm and smelly like sewer gas. We went back and forth wondering if we should say something and switch rooms or if we should suck it up and stay the... More

This is a cozy 10 room - Bed and Breakfast and is the longest continually run hotel in Colorado. The rooms are small and have antiques - very Old Mining town- we were expecting this and were not disappointed. The current owners have been there over thirty years and are the nicest most engaging people. We had been traveling and... More

The Peck House is a wonderful over night stay or several days to ski/explore the area. It is a step back in history with Victorian antiques. Enjoy a delight cocktail hour on the wrap around front porch with hanging flowers baskets surrounded by hummingbirds and stunning views. I would drive to The Peck House just for the dining experience, truly... More

At the end of a trip through RMNP from east to west we stopped here on our way back to Denver and b/c Idaho Springs looked like an interesting stoping point. The hotel is no frills, unless you consider dear/elk heads hanging from the walls - frills. The check was easy, just go to the bar, and we really didn't... More

This B&B is very very quaint, quite, cozy and hidden in plane view! We are always so concerned about "not speeding" through Empire, that we never payed attention to the sign the pointed just north 2 blocks from the main highway. We tried this place both for dinner and to stayed over night to see if this were someplace our... More
