Spent 4 nights on our way to the Denver area. The resort is small, no activities (maybe seasonal), but we were there to see area. The resort is near town for walking. Close to the Durango-Silverton Rail and many restaurants. The rooms are very clean, small (ours was pie shape with king bed) with space well used to have a... More

Well furnished unit with probably expensive furniture and accents, however I believe if the decorators had to spend a week here they would rearrange in a more efficient layout. The bed is beautiful, but has a large footboard which is constantly obstructing travel due to close proximity with the TV armoire. It is really a hotel room with a kitchen.... More

After seeing the feedback on this hotel, and having stayed there 3 times, I decided I needed to write a review. 1. Great Location: Unless you are actually staying downtown, then there really isn't a better location than this. 2nd Ave is approximately 2 blocks from the train station and a 7 minute walk to the middle of downtown. The... More

The Wyndham Durango is a hotel that was converted into a time share resort. The building and common areas are beautiful. The one bedroom unit we were in was very small and cramped. It would be fine if you are traveling lite to do backpacking or mountain biking but we were on an extended tour with more luggage and it... More

The location is terrific! The staff was very nice and accompdating but, because of the small size of this resort, they are only there between 0800 and 2100. A little odd if you check in at 2200 and no one is there. As others have said, the rooms are small but, unless you are there to sit in the room,... More

Reviewers have said just about all there is to say about the Wyndham Resort. The location is about as good as you can find it is accessible to the train and all of the old downtown area one could not ask for more. But the room… The room is very small. We were accompanied by a 17 year old. She... More

We spent the week of 3/19/2012 in Durango. Purgatory (Durango Mountain Resort) is about 25 minutes away, Wolf Creek is 1 1/2 hours and Mesa Verde Park is 25 minutes. It's a great jumping off point for any of these major attractions. The resort itself is situated right in old downtown and is very convenient to restaurants and shopping. the... More

We spent the MLK weekend at Durango, with the intention of skiing the whole time. We are owners at Wyndham, and have enjoyed many other resorts. Due to injuries sustained last year, I was unable to spend the weekend skiing, but that might have been a blessing in disguise. There was not any new powder at Purgatory, and therefore, many... More
