Ok campground. Clean facilities. Friendly staff. Nice little corner for tents. Really appreciated the pool on a hot day. Would have been good to have a clothesline to dry laundry - seemed silly to pay for a dryer on such a hot, sunny day. And then at evening the frogs started croaking. With enthusiasm and volume. Not a bad site... More

We come to Durango often and we always camp (tent) here. The tent sites are green and lush and are well away from the RVs which is really nice. Showers are clean, laundry equipment works well, WiFi worked everytime we have been there and there's a pool that is small but pleasant. Also, the trolley stops here so you can... More

This is a great place to stay. It's quite, yet close to all the things to see and do in the area. We love that the famous train comes through the campground every morning at 8:50 and 9:35. Folks run out to see it, take pictures and wave at the conductors, engineers and passangers. It's fun. You can drive to... More

Location was good - free Durango trolley stop was right across the street. Nice trees, but the trailer/RV camp sites were right on top of each other on gravel. Tent area was a nice grassy area but don't even think of walking your dogs on grass. Dogs have their own weed patch for a run. I use that word fisiciously... More

This is not a campground. It is a gravel RV parking lot with no fire pits; no BBQ's; WIFI goes off regularly; VERY pet UNfriendly; spotty cell phone service; pool closed; unfriendly, rude hosts and short fender to fender (you read it right...not bumper to bumper but side to side) parking spaces where you get to listen to your neighbors... We stayed at this campground for Memorial Day this year and when I made a reservation for two sites, I requested that we be camped in sites next to each other. When we arrived, we realized the campground is arranged so that in every other site in the row, two trailers/RVs will have their doors open facing each other and... More

Three of us (in our twenties) stayed here after a backpacking stint. We LOVED this place - showers were clean, all amenities were working, and the staff was friendly. The campsite was lush & green and the view was gorgeous. The trolley stop is right outside of the campground so you can get into the town for free. I highly... More

I will not stay here again. I have stayed here four times over the past three summers in a tent site and it has gotten progressively worse each year. Half of the camp sites are closed for watering at any given time so tent campers are crowded into a small area. Large groups will stay here and apparently management allows... More

We camped here most of the week in early July, 2012 with our pop-up camper and loved it! And going back to this campground again in October for the Fall foliage. If you have a big rig, you may not have all the space you need to not feel closed in.

Every time my family and I travel to this part of Colorado we stay at this campground. Its has very friendly host and always willing to help. The tent area of the campground is large but if they aren't busy enough they have half of it closed off for watering. So sometimes it can seem crowded. But the tent spot... More
