I cannot say enough about this wonderful place. Everything was first class and could not have been more perfect for two couples. The bedrooms and attached bathrooms were identical. That is nice when traveling as two couples. Full kitchen, stocked with necessities was modern and great. We loved it here and would highly recommend it. Can't wait to return.

Perfectly located just steps from Sonoma square. Parking at no cost and located on the property. We had suite 151, which is a ground floor unit facing the main street with a lovely large porch and french doors that open fully to allow the fresh air in. The kitchen is nicely appointed with a coffee pot and filters provided. Winery passes and detailed information about the surrounding area (including menus for nearly every local restaurant) were greatly appreciated. Both bedrooms are large with comfortable king beds and really nice bathrooms (showers only). The suite was very clean. Perfect accommodations for a wine country weekend.

My husband and I stayed in room #155 with two of our good friends and had an amazing time. The place was so gorgeous and had everything we could possibly want in a place. We went to Sonoma for the Savor Sonoma wine festival as we have for almost 20 years and this was the best place we have ever stayed in! Beds were so comfortable and the upper deck was perfect. Easy walk to the square too. We will be coming back hopefully soon! Loved it!

We traveled in early June with friends - there were two couples and we shared the upstairs rental unit. It was fantastic!! Plenty of room and a beautiful upstairs outdoor patio area that includes a sofa/chairs seating area as well as a full 6 seat dining table. The kitchen is fully stocked - all you will need for a relaxing wine country trip! We were also given a wine tasting pass that included many free and discounted wine tastings - which was nice to use in addition to our pre-scheduled wine tastings. The unit is comfortably furnished - not high end furnishings- but nice and plenty of seating. The location is what makes this a 5 star accommodation. You are just steps (literally about 20 steps) from the square - plenty of dining options within walking distance. During the summer - the square hosts an AWESOME Farmers Market on Tues. evenings with fantastic food trucks and food vendors. We had a great time having dinner outside - great atmosphere!! And we bought some fresh snacks for our stay! The downstairs units were empty for the majority of our stay - however, the last night we had neighbors in the downstairs (backside) unit. Our friends were staying in the room closest to the downstairs patio and they did say the noise was very noticable - but tolerable. The couple we traveled with had stayed with this property a few years ago in a downstairs unit - and chose the upstairs unit for this trip because they had issues with the noise from above. It's not untolerable - it's exactly what you should expect in a refurbished historic home. All that being considered - we will absolutely return to this location in the future - the convenience makes it completely worth it!

We stayed in suite 151 and liked it very much. The suite has a lovely porch on the street side. The location is perfect with the town square and all the restaurants nearby. We never had a shower with so much water.

We had a terrific stay at Auberge Sonoma. It was clean, comfortable with all the ammenities you could expect and more. We were welcomed to Sonoma with a beautiful day and lots of discount coupons and activities listed for us to do. It was great to have a code for the door so we could all come and go as we pleased. Everything we needed was within walking distance...breakfast, meals, wine tasting, grocery, church, parks etc.
It was the perfect family get away & we hope to be back soon!

A group of us 3 gals needed a quick getaway from the city, and this little gem was the perfect answer. Karen welcomed us and made us feel right at home immediately. The place is so comfortably and tastefully decorated, leaving you wanting nothing but more time to enjoy it all. You can basically swing your bag and hit about a dozen neat little stores and restaurants before even getting to the end of the block! I loved this place, I will be coming back again soon.

Driving into the private driveway of this quaint property we knew it was a great choice. Walking up to the front porch and into the front room we could hardly believe how reasonable the rates were. Two couples shared a 2-bedroom unit and it was just as we hoped and more. The location is ideal - Cafe La Haye is directly across the street. The rooms are well appointed and clean. The kitchen space had all we needed to make a meal and enjoy all the wine we bought. The space is large and easily supports 4 people. The porch looks out to Napa Street and the while the traffic can be active, we found the noise inside was hardly noticeable. We will return!

Maybe it was just the contrast of having come from a week in New York but we loved this as a place to decompress at the end of our vacation.

We stayed on the top floor apartment -two spacious bedrooms each with ensuite bathroom, great living area, well equipped kitchen plus a fantastic verandah/balcony out the back. This place is beautifully furnished and most importantly super clean. As we had been travelling for a while the laundry facilities were also very welcome. It has a great location just off the square, although groceries are a bit of a hike if you are on foot.

This is the place to take advantage of the area's great wine, sit out on the verandah in the evening and just enjoy! We would definitely stay here again. Three days was not enough.

A 50th birthday gift for my husband, we traveled to Sonoma with 2 other couples. One stayed at a fabulous bed and breakfast down the street while 4 of us stayed in Suite 151. It was a wonderful experience. Location to the plaza was better than expected and our suite was ultimate comfort. Clean, neat and comfortable. The wine pass is such a money saver and we visited many places during our stay. The town of Sonoma was friendly and welcoming. We look forward to returning again and staying at Auberge. Thank you Byron for all your hard work maintaining a perfect getaway.

"We stayed in #153, which had 2 king BRs, each with their own baths. The unit is in the back of the house and it was nice to be off the street. Very quiet the weekend nights we were there. This a ground unit with a unit above us. We noticed some noise from the upper apartment but nothing too bad. Frankly, we spent very little time in the apartment itself."
