We had a rather spacious room on the second floor. Everything was clean, king size bed was comfy, bathroom included a spa bath which came in handy after a long, long day of walking. We were given a room in a great location on 3rd flr (quiet, private-ish), large, but although bed sheets were nice, the queen bed was uncomfortable for two & the pillows especially gave us major neck pain. This hotel, at the corner of Ocean & Soquel, just a short distance from downtown, is an interesting place. I remember when it was built--probably about 1990--it was pretty stylish. We were very impressed! We stayed in the family suite that was very roomy and comfortable. The hotel is clean with updated furniture, bedding, and bath fixtures. We will definitely stay here again. More

There's not much of a selection if you want to be in town in Santa Cruz. I've tried a different place everytime (5 so far) and this is the best one.
