The employees at this hotel are wonderful. They are friendly and helpful. The room we had was not in great shape; wallpaper coming off the wall, the heater is noisy and kept waking us up and the temperature wasn't consistent (hot, cold, all night long). At first glance hotel looked old and tired. Looking closer it is the dark, brown colors that gave that impression and it actually feels pretty new and nicely kept. It's barely a five-minute trip to and from San Jose International Airport, with very responsive and helpful shuttle drivers. The hotel itself is a bit impersonal but service is still personable.
